The medical examiner was wrong about the time of death due to cold. He wondered off that night suffered hypothermia. Unless the father did really search the field? Was it true? Remember the body farm research was not widely known at that time.

@auniverseofmystery He still had alcohol in his system. Being a light weight and smaller male. I honestly think he stumbled there passed out. His blood alcohol level was high. Probably was .20+ as he frozen his body kept lowering it. Died.

One note: I have seen it said he had 1 shoe on and one caught in the rocks. Other one said he had no shoe on and only one found

He was missing for 5 days. Coroner stated he was dead for 24-36 hours yet the description of those who found him said he only had bruises. If he only had bruises it's curious for his body not started some decomposition & in full rigormortis at the very least. These are things that would be visible to the untrained eye and be something anyone finding his body would notice far beyond cuts & bruises. The corner should of been able to give a better timeframe on when he was killed IMO. I'm kinda surprise where they found one shoe lodged in a rock & the other shoe feet away from his body didn't wonder if a fall could possible a cause of death & his body lay there unfounded for days???

I'm watching now, i just rewatched the one in Idaho,im sorry im bad with names in my old age, the young guy that filmed for Gold Rush. These stories blow my mind! He just took off running and didn't come back? His backpack and watch and wallet left on the path? Thats just freaky! Its like something possessed him and he knew he wouldn't need that stuff. These stories, you are wonderful telling them.. you are definitely the best,you do your research! Great utube channel.

I might help have a new autopsy done .with the science technology . Maybe put on news .try looking for van records near by town .someone knows something .it happens my sister case never solved murdered 1986
