His projects are also very specific. To paint a pc case can be done by anyone with a pay spray gun. But buying a specific case and a led apple logo. , laser you specific picture on it, find someone who cuts out your logo with an expensive cnc the whole day. Whole other level.

I'm no scientist but I wonder if the uneven light could be the diffuser not being flush and/or uneven pressure? It didn't seem like you glued the diffuser and you only glued part of the LED strip. So the light could be leaking to the inside. I bet if you get a tight seal it'll work.
@StrangeParts6 жыл бұрын
Yeah, possible. Might also have been the paint we used on the back of the logo insert.

It is about the light source. You are using LED, it is spot light. The LED are not surrounding the insert evenly

The more of these videos that I watch, the more I'm amused and impressed with the Chinese attitude towards this. In the West if you went to a machine shop they'd complain it wasn't worth their time, or too expensive, or generally not want to know. You could see the people in this video were just as interested in making it work as he was. I'd take the phone to Apple and show them, to see what they think ;-)
@mistercohaagen6 жыл бұрын
It'd be short-sighted not to though... over half a million subscribers here; that's a lot of free exposure to a very specialized audience. I wonder if they're aware of this on the China side, or if he's slowly wearing out a welcome when rumor gets around that all he wants is one-offs for the sake of content. I'd personally bet on China being fully self-aware in this respect.
