She is precious! I breast fed my daughter and one day I had this gut feeling somethings was off. She was nursing weird and throwing up ( which she never did) . I noticed she was stuffy and there was mucous in her vomit. She tested positive for RSV. And through it all never spiked a temp or got fussy due to the awesome powers of breast milk. So if your mommy senses are tingling it’s ok to call the doctor and be over cautious. Blessings to you and your family

I work for a pediatric Gastro doc. For babies that are breast fed they just do an elimination diet. So mom stops all dairy for 2-3 weeks, then starts back up. If baby has issues within in a few days, they tell mom to avoid dairy until baby is weaned. Hope this helps.

She probably has a little cold and is teething at the same time. However just because she doesn’t have a fever doesn’t mean there might not be concerns. My daughter had appendicitis with no fever. Doctors were baffled. But fever or no fever sometimes doesn’t indicate anything. It’s how they react.

If Micha starts running a fever and she is gnawing on her hands and Drooling She is in the early stages of teething. The best thing to do for it is to stick chewing toys in the freezer or fridge just keep them cool so it will ease the pain when her Teeth start to come in more you can also buy medicine from Walmart That can help ease the pain when her teeth break through. My son is 4 months old he is always Gnawing on his hands and drooling, I swear it's like he drools 3 or 4 big buckets full if spit everyday. He also would rather chew on stuff then eat sometimes. I hope this helped yall out. Love yall

My daughter had a severe lactose probably and I tried all different milks for myself but it didn't seem to help. I ended up putting her on nutramigen and it was a life saver and made me feel better that her tummy wasn't hurting.

If it is milk protein allergy it takes 2-3 weeks to get it out of your body Jess.. 4 days is not enough. Just in case you want to try.. give it a good 2-3 weeks.

I was going to say this too. My daughter has a dairy intolerance and our pediatrician said it can take several weeks for dairy to get out of your system (which is also why it's so important not to "cheat" if there is a real intolerance/allergy). Definitely check with your Ped if you're concerned about that).

Hehe her chubby tummy 😊 she’s getting ready to go through a growth spurt! My bf told me that aha when baby’s get chubby in the tummy they’re getting ready to grow! As he puts it “they get really faaaaat and then they stretch out” lmao it’s the cutest thing in the world! I think our daughter is getting ready to grow again soon, her little tummy is chubby 😂😂

The vomiting, chewing her hand, drooling, generally under the weather and not eating properly all point to teething... explosive nappies are common too! Hope Micah feels better soon, bless her xx

I got six kids one up above. But all my kiddos teethed at different ages. My earliest one started at 2.5 mths. The doctor thought i was crazy til her tooth popped through. Guess who was laughing in the end? Not the doctor lol. One at 4 mths one at 5 one at 9 one at 8.5 so each baby is different. But those are 100% sure signs. I also ran my own daycare three times in three different towns. And a class called shake rattle and roll and was a teacher in a preschool childcare. A live in nanny, and a class mom for head start and bus monitor for them ages 1-5 on them. LoL im very well trained when it comes to babies and kids. Safety and all cause i had to take cpr and first aide and my favorite i was cheerleading coach for the minis. Meaning the lil ones. And i got to teach tumbling to 36 babies thats a handful when your the only teacher. Especially when you have quite a few teething at the same time and wanting to be rocked and held not to be flipped lol

Chewing on hands is also developmental. Not a sure fire sign of teething. My son started chewing his hands around 3 months. He’s 9 months now and doesn’t have a single tooth. But yes runny nose, diarrhea, and spitting up can be signs of teething but not always.

I had to cut out dairy for my son, dairy takes 2 weeks to leave your system so you'd have to cut it out for longer before knowing if she is sensitive.

When babies are beginning to teethe their immune system is depressed so they get little runny noses. And they say if an adult had to go thru the pain a baby does they would be asking for painkillers. Usually it doesn't start till between 3 or 4 months seriously.

When I was a baby I was allergic to the milk protein and it just recently came up again as a 21 year old. I had to go to the hospital when my parents first introduced me to milk just plain milk not through my mom. It was really bad so I would suggest to go to the doctor and see I think it's better that way instead of going through a bunch of tests. I'm not a mom though so you do what your gut tells you. Chewing on the fingers is early teething. Get her some teethers and freeze them. Most babies love them cold. She may also not be feeling well BECAUSE she's teething. Teething can cause a low grade fever sometimes, ear infections, even swollen little baby glands. God Bless Micah...Heal quickly little one.

Sounds like she's teething! Babies sometimes start teething early, my son who is three now started teething very early. Maybe try some teething toys and freeze them and see if it helps/if she likes them and of course get Orajel and Tylenol or I would call and follow up with the doctor and see what they suggest first before doing any of those things. My baby’s tummy would get hard and round like that. It he was a super gassy baby. I found that gripe water helped A LOT with his stomach. Also: she’s teething! Classic teething symptoms. Very close to a cold. It’ll honestly always be confusing. We’re 13 months in and I still can’t figure out teething and colds.

Jess, it could be reflux that is causing her to spit up..i know that my little one used to throw her head and shoulders back and that was a sign of it. Has she had poo diapers lately? I know that I was told by my pediatrician that baby's can go as long as a week in between dirty diapers. And the whole eating hands and fingers is a sign of teething..yes they can start teething at the age of 2 months and not have a tooth pop through until later..i know my lo started at two months and she has been drooling and eating/sucking on her fingers since.

Not sure if the big stomach is normal or not, our 12 week old has the SAME big belly but she also has a lot of built up gas problems due to still not latching correctly. When I asked my doctor if our daughter was teething they said no but she could have been wrong, if all of you think it is. Our daughter was born just four days before Micah.

She may not be allergic to dairy. I would think moreso along the lines of lactose intolerance. I would think that if it was an allergy, she would have hives or something along those lines. I'm lactose intolerant myself, and I get a bad belly and bloated (among other things) when I have dairy.

She is definitely teething! Buy Hyland’s oral pain relief tablets. They sell them online at Walmart, those helped my son soooooo much when he was teething. They’re tiny tablets that dissolve on the tongue and they’re flavorless. They don’t even notice you gave it to them and they’re all natural as well.

When she is fussy and chewing on her hand, give her a clean,rolled up, wet, then frozen baby wash cloth to chew on. It will ease the pain and add water to her system.

Sounds like she may be on her road to starting teething! Definitely if she shows signs that she could be sick i'd look into calling the doc, but it really sounds like teething. Trust your gut, momma! The bloating could be something else that may warrant a doc question though. And yes Austin, i do hit the afternoon slump. A little snack or a little nap usually helps at least a little bit for me. The hotdog guy was hilarious and weird lol.

Dairy can take 3-4weeks to get out of your system, before seeing a difference in Mica! And around 3months babies go through a hand chewing phase.

I would say she is teething. My 3rd son is 4.5months old and just got his second tooth. It can mimic cold symptoms. Or she may have a little bug but i'm guessing on top of finding her hands she may be preparing for some little teeth :)

Seems like she’s just got a bit of a stuffy nose coming on probably just weather changes.. it’s hard for them to eat when stuffy and she’s probably got a belly full of mucus (and gas) so she doesn’t have much of an appetite.. just pay attention to her breathing to check for chest congestion and of course a fever.. try to avoid taking her to the doctors for little sniffles and colds when it’s flu season! The hand chewing is probably just her finding her hands once they find them they’ll chew on them forever lol.. it might be a comfort for her since she’s filling a big icky too.. she’s probably too young for true teething but check with your parents and see how old you both were when you got your first tooth to see if she can be early or late bloomer lol She was probably real hungry after her long sleep and over ate.. over eating spit isn’t curdled like typical spit up.. my son would always over eat and spew especially after a long sleep he’d think he was starving and drink way too much lol think of how you feel when you’ve drank too much water. we started thickening his morning milk so it would fill him up with drinking less and it worked great until we could finally start solids!

Her little self is teething. If needed, call your doc and they will tell you give her a small amount of baby tylenol to ease discomfort. Start freezing some fresh fruits and put them in these little net thingies they make for babies.

It takes about 2 weeks for dairy to completely leave your system. So you would have not consume dairy for 2 or 3 weeks to see a difference with her.

My daughter now 33 could not drink milk or Enfamil of any type, believe it or not the only thing that worked was powdered milk like carnations because powdered milk has no bee pollen in it. Pro tip if the infant is allergic to milk.

She is teething! It may seem early but it's not. Also they can get little colds with teething. Make sure you are using a cool mist humidifier in her room as well as your room since she sleeps there also. As for the milk protein allergies, yes that is a thing and with breastfed babies (most the time) all they do is ask the mom to not eat or drink any dairy for an extended period of time and journal how baby reaction if there's any change period Then after a period of time they will have Mom reintroduce Dairy into her diet and do the same again. And if they find that the same things are happening again they'll likely ask Mom to abstain from any dairy while baby is breastfeeding. it honestly would be better to speak to your pediatrician sooner than later and come up with a game plan. Also if little one is on any kind of iron supplements it can cause gas issues especially poly vi sol. I love watching your channels. -mom of a now six year old 🤗

You can sometimes tell if they have a lactose intolerance by their poos. If they have a phlegm kind of texture to them....gross I know.....but if their poo looks a little snotty like, they tend to be showing lactose irritation in the gut.

Let her mouth on a peppermint stick. It helps with congestion and sore throat and nausea. Old school mommy hack. Just make sure peppermint stick is thick.
