Actually, they did tell us in season 2 that Dr. Brenner was alive, during the episode The lost sister, where they went to the guy's house to get revenge on how he tortured their momma. And he was like, I can take you to Dr. Brenner, and that he's still alive.

Also i think the bats may have also gotten back to Vecna. And Nancy & team may not have been able to kill vecna. The bats always surround Vecna when he is killing a life to protect vecna. So they may have gotten back.

Why would they do that? Vecna already knows where the portals are because he specifically made them. If he wants to send bats to the real world then he doesnt need to go through a defended portal. Besides the one under water, glasses kid's portal was right out in the open and accessible at anytime....

Is it me alone that thought if Eddie had left with Dustin, the bats could have used the portal to wrecked havoc in Hawkings and that's why Dustin called him the hero of the town that hated him.

If the bats got loose in Hawkings, there are plenty of people there with guns that could've easily dealt with them. Also, the bats wrecking havoc could potentially be used to prove eddie wasn't responsible for the murders...

8:02 Eddie's sacrifice didn't mean anything to us because we know that at that time Steve,Robin and Nancy were already caught by Vecnas vines. But as far as Eddie was concerned he had to keep bats distracted and keep em away from the trio. Eddie is not seeing the show with us. He is just sticking with the plan to distract and help his friends. 🤷

They could also have made clear the fact that Eddie looks at the portal and the bats real close, so kind of looks like he was thinking it was very probable the bats will get to Hawkings using that portal, so he went out and took them elsewhere to avoid that, what makes even more sense when Dustin says he helped the people that hated him

The fact that they WERE caught by the vines is EXACTLY why Eddie's sacrifice IS meaningful to us. Otherwise the bats could either exit through the gate (as others have pointed out) or returned to the house to feast on the trio. Whether it be from Eddie's perspective or ours, it mattered.

They can say whatever they want but in the show it was a plot hole, they didn’t gave a good exposition of why she was able to talk. The storyline of 11 had multiple plot holes and it was too long, that’s why the season is a 8/10. She talked full conversation back then and when we found her in the woods she couldn’t talk, plot hole. How Brenner was alive, plot hole. 11 knew about her mother but then she didn’t back in S2, plot hole. 11 has telekinesis, but somehow revived Max…plot hole, etc, her storyline is what took points from this season.

@@reynaldolorenzo8409 You're kinda wrong about most of the stuff here El knew about her mother and then she didn't in S2 was fairly explained, she blocked her memories of Henery and she knew about her mom from him so that makes perfect sense Brenner being alive is not a plot hole, we didn't see him actually die we saw him get attacked same way Hopper was attacked in 4x09 btw, and they did say he was alive in S2 ep 7 They just need to show/tell us how that happened Did someone save him last minute? did he have some sort of an electrifying device? Was the demogorgon specifically targetting El and so it just left him and followed her? That is an unanswered question not a plothole El reviving Max also is not a plot hole AT ALL It's really weird how many people are confused by what she did She revived her heart, like CPR, that is all She can affect things with her mind including internal organs and we saw her in S1 make that bully kid pee himself and explode the brains of guys with the gun, so why can't she get Max's heart to beat untill its revived?!!! How is that a plot hole?!!!

Just finished off the season finale (gonna have some reactions up for it soon). Ever since that episode with Max fighting Vecna, I've been having that song in my head constantly. But with this finale, it's been 10x worse! I can't go for 5 minutes without randomly singing that damn song! I haven't even heard of the song until watching this season of the show. So yeah, it totally makes sense why it had a huge boost in popularity thanks to the show. 37 years is CRAZY! 😱

Well killing Eddie made sense.. the murders got pinned on him and there is no way they could explain otherwise.. so he would have to live a life of fugitive if he survived... So I had figured he would eventually die ...

Okay Eddie actually HAD to go back and distract the bats because this is a hive mind Even tho Nancy Steve and Robin already entered the house once they start killing Vecna the bats will feel that and rush to his aid and probably kill them No idea WHY this is so hard to get Also, Elven did not bring Max back, she gave her CPR and revived her heart .. that's all Steve Robin and Nancy did not choke for 45 minutes Everything was happening at once .. I mean Hopper probaby killed that demogorgon in like 30 seconds but it was montaged into other stuff and slow motioned it took so long on screen devided into about 4 cuts I think

Because even halfway across the world the adults had the better plan. They didn't need to distract the bats, they needed to draw them in and set them on fire which would not simply draw them in but actually incapacitate other things connected to the hive mind. (which apparently doesn't include Henry because plot armor 😒)

If they removed the scene of Nancy, Steve and Robin getting choked by vines, then Eddie's efforts wouldn't have been for nothing. We as viewers know that the trio is getting choked by vines, so vecna is not under any threat, hence the bats won't really come back. That's why Eddie's death appears unnecessary. But from Eddie's POV, he doesn't know any of this, so he decided to distract the bats more, it's just tragic. If they removed the vine choking, then the bats may have actually come back, and then Eddie would've actually been a hero.

The number of people with plot armor in ST is ridiculous. But Henry most of all - he's got not just plot armor but plot guidebooks. I mean seriously - he's yeeted high into midair over the barren rocky landscape of an alternate dimension without food or water, blasted multiple times with lightning (which would dry you out and then some)..... Yet somehow not only does he land without further injury, he can walk pretty well, and he doesn't starve or dehydrate to death (less than 3 days for a normal person, less still for someone struck by lightning losing a drastic amount of water) before he finds a helpfully life sustaining hive mind cloud that allows him to control basically every creature in the alternate dimension and realise a childhood dream form of a spider...... (and did I mention he magically immediately knew how the hive mind cloud works and how to manipulate it?) It's not jumping the shark......... it's not nuking the fridge....... it's deifying the Henry. It would make more sense if they leaned fully into the supernatural by making him less a play on Freddy Krueger, and more a clone of him just existing in dreams.

They did explain papa's survival. You know how the Demogorgon puts his mouth on people's head to digest all soft tissue wich is grafically depicted in season 4 when the Russian one gets out? They gave a little scar on his face from the monster jumping on him. If he realistically survived, his face should have been mangled to the point of being unrecognizable

Yeah season 2 also introduces a plot hole with that other kid who trains her to go full beast mode with her power. Unless that girl was just in a hospital when Henry got free and killed the others.

@@avikchakraborty5536 We don't really need a scene with an explanation. All we saw was the Demogorgon pounce on Dr. Brenner and then they disappeared out of frame. A Demogorgon also pounced on Jonathan at the Byers house toward the end of season 1 and he was able to hold it off him until Nancy started shooting at him. Bob was able to hold a Demodog off of him for a short minute until the other dogs joined in and killed him. Hopper was able to hold a Demodog off him in the prison in Season 4 until Joyce came and shocked it. It's not hard to imagine one pouncing on Brenner for a minute and then one of the surviving soldiers in the facility distracted it or shot at it.

That implies they had a way to plug an external music source into an amp. You need the amp to make the music reach the bats. Hence the guitar. There are certainly ways, but whether Eddie had a way to connect a walkman or something similar to the amp is another question.

The bad romance is getting old, and we have Captain Hair for that, Will could be an option too, it would change Jonathan into a badass character probably. Eddie surviving would be hardcore to do though, him being on a run and all that, but it would make a cool spin off. Maybe they will ressurect him on the upside down? That could be a thing.

Oddly he didn't notice/comment on how Eleven's power comes from love, instead of anger, and that's how she beat the bad guy... except she had no love in her life before her friends and she didn't learn that lesson until much later to begin with.

7:45 Eddie was supposed to die for the plot there is no other way. He got labeled as the murderer in front of the entire city, in order to convince back, that he isn't a murderer they have to explain everything to the whole city, which is not possible.

I think he very well intended to kill Brenner, but he had bigger priorities at the moment. Vecna had to fight all those children with psychic powers.. the powerless human can be saved till last. The other ones were fighting back, and he had to take care of them first

I watched the all show for the first time this month. Started a few days before season 4 came out so i could watch the all thing. Is a great show. Also, it's a lot inspired by Buffy. A bunch of kids fight monsters, grow during the show, there is a demonic dimension (the upside down/hellmouth), and the city all happens on goes to hell at the end....oh yeah, and the is a girl that has super powers. But then again, Buffy inspired basically everything.

Eddie has to attract the bats because they protect vecna's body when he is in his prey's mind you can see this in ep1 when he kills chrissy[the bats flying over his creepy house in upside down]. Also the reason he can't play the electric guitar from inside is probably because the sound wont reach the bats.

@@mnomadvfx Yeah the biggest "Why the F they are not doing this?" question for me while watching was Why couldn't the kids just get a flamethrower while going into the upsidedown. Yeah getting a hold of 1[see what i did there] is pretty difficult but they should have tried in the shop to reply to your vines part- Don't forget he knew what was their plan and exactly where they were gonna be that's why he showed that vision to nancy and also to max that's also why the vines didn't attack the trio of nancy earlier. The only unexpected part was El & the trio of hop which he didn't foresee in his visions everything else he already knew. Possibly hinting at his time travel powers.

Sometimes, Ryan just reaches way too hard. Eleven couldn't speak in S1 bcz she went into a coma after fighting Henry and lost all the major parts of her memory, but of course, before the first fight with Henry, she could talk normally and Brenner was literally lying fainted with blood when Henry attacked everyone, so he must've considered him dead. Argyle was a fun character to watch and ya.... Hopper's and Brenner's survivals were a bit meh, but you can't blame the rest of the show for that. And going in and out of the prison was also, I mean, to the point. Eddie distracting the bats was also valid to some extent, cause' if he didn't, then the bats would've reached inside the real world or returned back to Henry's house. As far as the skipping those days at the end is concerned, they might reveal them in the next season as usual, cause' of course, they'll show a bit of Vecna's survival scene so they'll probably show the other stuff that happened around that time then as well.

Stranger Things: I know Millie's future because I've read her fricking palm eleventy hundred times. Professor X and Scarlet Witch: Engaged in an epic Palm-Hand psychic battle instead of just using their overpowered minds to destroy the other. Now I gotta go finish watching Eleven try to wave off a bunch of giant plot holes.

They could explain Dr Brenner's survival from season 1 in the next season. Vecna said he didn't think Brenner is evil and may have spared him twice. What if Brenner met Vecna from season 1 and that's why he seem to have insight on what Eleven would be dealing with.

They did explain why dr was live. He has powers too. Remember when 11 try to escape and guards count her but she didn’t had power but the guards went flying when dr came in the hallway with noses bleed

You just made this shit up, nice. He doesn’t have powers. It’s a plot hole, that’s it. Lazy writing, move on. They gave filler and pointless scenes to other character instead of having better exposition in some scenes.

We knew in season 2 he survived. He got attacked by a demogorgon but so did other people who didn’t die and we never saw him again after that. the Season 2 shit weird Episode one of the girls tells Eleven that brenner is alive. Maybe owens showed up at the end of season 1 and found him hiding in the lab somewhere.

@@reynaldolorenzo8409 It's not a plot hole. Don't call things plot holes that aren't plot holes. That's the most overused and incorrectly used term in movie critiques. It was never implied that he had died. All we saw was the Demogorgon pounce on Dr. Brenner and then they disappeared out of frame. A Demogorgon also pounced on Jonathan at the Byers house toward the end of season 1 and he was able to hold it off him until Nancy started shooting at him. Bob was able to hold a Demodog off of him for a short minute until the other dogs joined in and killed him. Hopper was able to hold a Demodog off him in the prison in Season 4 until Joyce came and shocked it. It's not hard to imagine one pouncing on Brenner for a minute and then one of the surviving soldiers in the facility distracted it or shot at it.

@@ry.the.stunner It’s different, those examples you used are because of plot armor. ST don’t have the balls to kill main character so when the monsters are involved with the main character they get nerfed. Watch the prison scene with Hopper, the demogorgon killed every non important character, he was very selective and he demolish them easily, but they aren’t efficient when main character were involved. Plot holes are inconsistencies or gaps in the storyline, that one is a plot hole. Vecna has telekinesis, in ep4 he could’ve stopped Max any time he wanted but they forgot about it and wrote him not to use the telekinesis so Max could’ve survived, another plot hole. I’m a filmmaking student, trust me, I know what I plot hole is and how to review the scrip and writing.

@@reynaldolorenzo8409 it's stil not a plot hole. A plot hole is something that contradicts previously established information. It was never established or even implied that Dr. Brenner had been killed. People just assumed it because didn't physically see him again after Season 1. It was hinted in Season 2 that he was still alive, so that was clearly their plan all along.
