Oke, I think you are missing one important fact here about Will: He is not only gay, but also in love with Mike. The whole speech was so emotional because it has a double meaning. If you swap out El with I (Will) you hear what Will is really saying in this moment only he is still way to scared, introverted and locked of to say it properly. Still, he finally does say what he wants to say to Mike for so long (I think it started at the end of season 2) but at the same time he wants him to be happy so he instead strengthens his bond with El, something that is actively hurting his relationship with Mike (because if you look at this season again, Mike is always pretty open to Will, almost a bit romantic, when El is not around). In addition I would like to point out the painting because Will kind of have himself away with it too Mike only, as always, Mike was to stupid to notice (I don't say he is stupid, but he has problems with emotions and relationships). El wrote to Mike that Will is working on a painting he shows nobody and how she thinks it might be for somebody he likes. Well, there is only one painting around the entire time and in the car we find out it was for Will. What 100% gives it away is Will's lie, that El asked him to draw it. Finally here my look into the future which is kind of sad unfortunately. In season 5 Will will play a bigger Role again (FINALLY) but it is also the case that if this show even had a main character (which I don't think it has), it would be El, so she is also really important for sure. Now, without introducing even more random main characters (which I think a last season is not good for) in order to have a "happy" ending for this small love-triangle, either El or Will has to die and I honestly think they both are the most obvious choices anyway. Will, because the Series started with him going missing, presumed dead, even getting a funeral. Also, I think there is something more to the connection Will has because it is a mental connection to the Flair and therefore Vecna (and especially this season we have seen how powerful this can be, much more than just knowing when he is near) and I think he can't use these because he is repressing them together with his feelings. El would make sense because besides of Vecna and Eight (which I think will come back and if El dies, probably also die) she is the last of these kids. If she and Eight die, bringing down Vecna in the process meaning also that Will would lose his connection, these "Strange Things" would not exist anymore. Also, to a very small part (she had no control over), El is also responsible for that is happening. My biggest Problem personally is, that from a deeper character-standpoint, Will and El are my favorites and I have no Idea who I would choose in the end (I really want them both to be happy in the end, but I see no good/satisfying way they could be) Also, what I love most about this is how even though this is a love-triangle, Will and El have such a good relationship, probably the best/healthiest Brother-Sister Relationship in this show right now (and honestly one of my favorites of this season, even if it is really hard to miss). This of course mostly makes Will even more respectable, as she is in a relationship with his love right now but he can still love her at the same time for being his sister. Well, that was a long comment but I had to write about it Here are by the way the hints about now season 5 will be right now (at least the ones for me), with Spoilers for 4x9: El & Mike: - Simply the fact that they have been building this relationship since Season 1 - The fact that until now we have very little too go of when it comes to Mike's Sexuality - The speech Mike gives in the end (during the Mind-Fight) to El I think at least confirms to me that he loves her Will & Mike: - Will simply needs a happy ending, or simply something happy in general - Mike was at least always a best friend to Will, maybe even more. He was the only one who believed Will could make it (besides Joyce) multiple times and especially in this season there were some pretty interesting scenes between both. Also, he stopped saying "I love you" to El which I don't think after that speech was because he really didn't love her anymore. If anything it could be because he was confused about his feelings. I mean, if you catch feelings for your best friend while also being in a relationship you are happy with it can be quite difficult and overwhelming - The last shot of this season were 7 people: El stood alone and in front, in the background we had pairs: Jonathan & Nancy, Hopper & Joyce and Will & Mike. Two of them were a couple at that point in time (I am really not sure how Jonathan and Nancy will end up) PS: At the point you posted this Noah Schnapp (Will) hasn't said anything about his sexuality which I think is totally justified as I personally don't like it when people say only gay people should play gay roles (whoever is best for the role should play the role and I think he is absolutely amazing and on of the absolute Stand-Outs in this show, even with the little screentime he gets). At the time of writing this comment however, he has officially come out as gay (a few weeks ago) and at the same time also confirmed that Will is gay (which I don't know if it was actually ever 100% confirmed although it is extremely obvious and not than just hints at this point)

@@elvenoormg5919 even Henry for argument sake even if he didn’t know what Henry was going to do he knew he was dangerous and he tortured those kids and help them prisoner for years and he had innocent people killed including Benny Hammond and Terry Ives so 11 was right not to trust him because he was the monster maybe not as much as Henry but he’s still was maybe Henry didn’t want to come back maybe he want to be left alone but he couldn’t have that could he. And the list of crimes goes on

No, the actor that plays Will (Noah Schnapp) has never said anything about his sexuality. I think none of the actors have (they don't need to). We don't know if he's heterosexual, gay, bisexual... I don't think it's relevant at all. But one thing is for sure: he's a very talented actor.
