Hello, Had the pleasure of dropping into Le Rivage after seeing the Rockettes yesterday and it was a wonderful experience! Met Gigi who was a pleasure and a great introduction to the unique ambiance of the restaurant. Had to have the FOSB and it merits all the awards and talk. Got to me Frenchie after dinner and he was awkwardly adorable. Thank you gentlemen for a podcast I look forward to and now a spot to bring out-of-town friends to! HAPPY NEW YEAR!

I really enjoyed the segment where you both were eating one of Chef Brian’s sandwiches and taste testing the hot sauces. Like the idea of more cooking videos in Chef Paul’s dining room (loved the interaction with Chef Paul’s kitchen in the last video). Looking forward to more food segments. Charity suggestion: World Central Kitchen (Chef Jose Andres). When you come to San Jose, I hope you can spend some time diving into the local Nor. Cal. food culture (California Wine Country (Sonoma, Napa and Central Valleys), seafood, meats and poultry, the big farmers’ markets in Sacramento, Stockton, etc.) Sacramento is considered one of the Farm-to-Fork capitals of the world. I did dishes in my family's Chinese restaurant standing on a wood potato crate when I was 7. I started cooking when I was 10, I would get up and open the restaurant and kitchen and then head off to school when the first employees would show up. I worked in the industry until I was in my 30s and burnt out, now I enjoy cooking at home.

Some will say Kingpin is a liar, and sometimes he is, but mostly it's manipulation of the facts. In before Brain gets the "Ned" tag on him from the newer Spider Man movies cause of Jacob Batalon's new look. BUT, that would also mean Brain would have to be hypnotized and play the Hobgoblin for awhile and I might be able to see that....

Frenchie is so old that he referenced Eddie Murphy’s “Raw” one of the most famous stand up specials of all time and not a single one of us got it. “Raw” is very difficult to reference without going blue and even with that Brian is to nervous to say TheCompletionist’s name with fear of bad publicity 😂😂 Fun fact: if Frenchie is 5’7” means he is my MEXICAN hight, lil Wayne’s hight, and BATMAN (as played by Val Kilmer).

Listening to Frenchie discuss standing on the crate to do dishes gives me memories because I explain to people I used to stand on an egg crate and cook on a flat top in my grandparents Cafe. I used to take orders from customers before I could actually write words. I would have my little pad and chicken scratch as I repeated the exact order to my grandma. I made better tips than my mom 😂

An idea for a charity of sorts: There's an Ukrainian company called Saint Javelin that makes shirts, caps etc, a bit pricey, but at least some of the profit goes to help Ukraine in the war. So you could use the money to buy some of their stuff and give the shirts etc away to randomly selected people who helped you, or to random watchers of the channel.

Then again it's all genetics. My grandma had 5 brothers and the shortest one of them was about 6'6" so he got to serve on a U-Boat back in WW2

Regarding the stereotypical short Asians, here's a kinda funny observation. I spent a lot of time in South Korea in the 1980's, and yes, many of the locals there were not as tall on the average as the Americans there. Also, the women were not as - for lack of a better term - "curvy" as "Western" women. Well, fast-forward to the late 1990's, and I spent some more time there. Lo and behold, there were plenty of 6 foot tall twenty something guys, and the young women were much "curvier" than those of that age group 10 to 15 years earlier. What changed? I think it was McDonalds! Prior to the 1980's, fast food was pretty much unheard of in that area. Danged GMO's and hormone-infused meats! (Yes, I know it's a probably unrelated and totally unscientific knee-jerk hypothesis, but that's what watching KZbin videos will do to your brain.) Keep up the thought-provoking podcasts!!
