Basically, the reason why the flayed eating chemicals is because like the kids said in this episode 'to create a new substance'. Anytime the mind flayer wants, their bodies melt down.

Is this confirmed? I just assumed it had control of all their cells and then just manually disassembled all of them. Maybe it does still do that given your information, but I also assumed the minerals were to strengthen the physical form.

A little factoid. In an earlier episode Nancy's sister Holly is playing Marco Polo with her friends in the pool when Mrs Wheeler and her friends are poolside (checking out Billy). Nancy now plays Marco Polo with (well) slightly raised stakes.

A couple of factoids. Natalia (Nancy) said in an interview she was really super intimidated and scared by Jake Busey's character in the hospital scenes. He got super dark while doing them and he's about a foot and a half taller than she is. The guy that plays the Russian terminator is from the Czech Republic. In interviews he is nothing but a big sweetheart

fun fact is joyce was originally supposed to throw it to hopper and him catch the gun but winona messed it up and the duffers thought it was funny so they kept it i like it too because it's pretty realistic everyone in these movies/tv shows rarely messes up a catch but in reality, most catches don't land lol

Not sure if you knew, but that corny joke blond guy is Jake Busey, Gary Busey's son. He used to act a lot in the 90's and 00's. I remember him most for Starship Troopers and Tomcats. He always plays the same kinda guy. Watch those and tell me he isn't lol.

I LOVE THE INTRODUCTION OF ROBYN SHE FITS RIGHT IN AND IS KIND OF PLAYING IT HOW WHAT I WANTED MAX TO BE LAST SEASON BEING THE BRAVE AND LOGICAL SMARTASS (in a good way) WHO IS A FISH OUT OF WATER BEING THROWN INTO THESE INSANE SITUATIONS FOR ANYONE TO FACE LET ALONE THESE KIDS...AND PLAYING A BIT OF A COMEDIC ASPECT TO NOT KNOWING WHAT THE HELL IS HAPPENING RIGHT BEFORE HER EYES. I ALSO THINK ERICA WILL EVENTUALLY FIT IN BETTER WITH THE REST OF THE GROUP BECAUSE I FEEL HER WRITING WILL GET A LITTLE BETTER INSTEAD OF BEING THE ONE NOTE “I HATE NERDS AND ANYONE CONNECTED TO MY OLDER BROTHER” AND MAKING EVERY ONE OF HER JOKES AN INSULT. I enjoyed her some of the time but I think overall she is kind of unlikablez

Does Hopper actually pull the trigger when aiming at the "teminator's" head or does the guy pull the gun to have it fire?

Hopper pulls the trigger, except he's reacting to the movement rather than shooting at the end lf his countdown, so the trigger pull was not fast enough.
