Listen to your mom! Christine is a really good movie, directed by John Carpenter and based on a Stephen King novel of the same name. Great reaction btw! Oh the actress that plays Robin is the daughter of Uma Thurman and Ethan Hawke.

Yes, listen to your mom. Smart lady and good taste in movies. You and Jay reacting to Christine on your movie channel would be awesome because it's my personal favorite movie

I have mentioned Christine before though. I think that you would enjoy Christine. Another movie you would enjoy that has another famous actor in it you like which is Val Kilmer in it portraying the Iconic Jim Morrison lead singer of the Doors in an adaptation biopic of Jim Morrison's life in the 60's made by Oliver Stone. Could you imagine Val Kilmer playing Jim Morrison Amber? You would enjoy The Doors as well as Christine. I love Christine cuz she is a rare Plymouth classic car of the late 50's but restored in the late 70's. Killing anyone who crosses Arnie that owns Christine.

Yes, Season 3 was mid80s and the colors were crazy! The 70s were so muted and earthy and it took awhile for the 80s to move past that color scheme. That's when it all came together: fashion, music, tv, toys, and movies. It was a phenomenal time to grow up.

One of my favorite songs is by Cher "If I could turn back time" in it, there is a lyric "prides like a knife it can cut deep inside, words are like weapons they wound sometimes".. I know it didn't make it into the edit, but when Mike said "It's not my fault you don't like girls" and wills reaction to it, was how it was for me as a kid and I carried those words in my head for many many years, that it was my fault. I finally got out of that mindset later. My heart always breaks for Will 😢

If you haven't noticed by now, The Duffer Brothers are huge fans of Stephen King novels & the film adaptations. They have said that Stranger Things is basically a love letter to all things related to Stephen King. They draw a ton of inspiration from his work. Eleven is modeled after the character, Charlie, in "Firestarter". The scene of Dustin & Steve walking along the train tracks last season is an homage to the movie "Stand by Me", which is based on Stephen King's story "The Body". Episode 4 in season one is titled 'The Body" & the list goes on... Even the title font used for "Stranger Things" logo is the same font used for many of King's novels. So your mom suggesting the movie "Chirstine" is spot on perfect, as it is adapted from another one of King's stories. By the way, Billy's car is a 1979 Chevey Camero Z28 while Christine is the name of a 1958 Plymouth Fury, so there is quite a difference between the two, as they look nothing alike. But the camera angles used to introduce Billy's car are a reference to Stephen King's "Christine." You should also check out "Firestarter" (1984), with a young Drew Barrymore. Her character is the inspiration for Eleven, as well as a call back to MK-Ultra, the governemnt experiment that El's mother, Terry, was a part of.

This is my favorite season. It hits every teen memory of mine (I was born a year before Steve, two before Nancy and Jonathan). But the music, the Russian underlying stuff, the mall, the clothes... it is much more magnified in nostalgia terms.

My grandpa and my aunt live 2 hrs away from Savannah GA. my mom, me and my kids went down to visit them in 2021 before that we stopped in Atlanta GA at Gwinnet Mall that's where StarCourt Mall was filmed. We didn't get to go in as then it was being used as a Covid Testing Site. hopefully in a few years we can go back and this time walk inside.

I grew up in the mall. Whenever my sister and mom dragged me along for shopping I would tell them to leave me at the hobby shop, later the record store while they did their thing. Once I could drive and the video arcade was in the mall that's where I spent most of my time. We didn't have one of the cool two story malls but it did have three fountains.

Hey sis, hope all is well. I was always the rocker, hippy chic so I wasnt crushing on Karate Kid, but my sister really crushed in him all the way thru til the 2000 when she passed. Christine is a great movie, I think u would really enjoy it. Awwww, Poor Hop, hes always so lost, gets jealous, gets tongue tied, etc. lol. Just so kind hearted, means well. Robin is very smart and the gang wouldnt have figured it out as fast without her, Altho I think Dustin would have eventually. Nancy is a true Nancy Drew Detective. My feelings go all over the place with Billy. I gate him, feel sorry for him, etc. Thanx so much, stay groovy, Peace

Yes, Amber, please see Stephen King's Christine as well as Cujo, they both came out in 1983. I'm trying to get you to watch his Firestarter (1984) film with a young Drew Barrymore. Poor Hop, this whole thing with teens in being a Father figure is quite strange to him. I was mentally rocking out to Teena Marie's "Lovergirl" as well lol. Thought I heard The Dark Crystal music in there.

Yes, we all had a crush on Ralph Macchio. But some of us had to keep that part of us a secret in the late 1980s/early '90s. I mean, I didn't even turn 8 until 1990 - but even then... I was aware of who I was, AND I knew it very was much not accepted, just like poor Will. So I feel really bad for Will. Not just throughout the series, but particularly in this episode when Mike makes that awful comment. He knows his friend is different, that Will doesn't like girls, and already gets bullied for it. Will needs friends to NOT use that in an argument.
