4:00 That's a very rare mechanic in this game! *Knockback stacking* If another move hits within the first frames of knockback, both angles's vectors stack, resulting in a different angle at which opponents are sent. Since Link f-smash sends at a diagonal angle and the bomb rune would've sent at an opposite one, the bomb's knockback doesn't override but does play apart on switching the angle up. Thus, Snake got sent at an upwards angle and died earlier than he probably would have.

the angle is determined via vector addition on the connecting hits, and apply an inverse tangent on the resultant :). Otherwise, you're correct!

Someone else has probably said this already and I just didn't scroll far enough, but the Samus/Greninja clip from the thumbnail isn't a great mystery. Greninja's dash attack extended his hurt box out in front of Samus so that Greninja's little webbed toes got hit by the recently fired charge shot.
