it's kinda funny when you think about it, Max Payne was inspired by John Woo action films. and Stranglehold was most likely a Max Payne style third person shooter.

You can say the same thing about GTA VC and Scarface. Dan House admitted multiple times that one of his major inspiration for GTA VC (and even GTA 3) is Scarface. And when GTA VC came out, a Scarface videogame came out that looks a lot like GTA VC. So Scarface videogame is a copy of GTA VC which was thematically copied from the Scarface movie.

@@seanfernandolopez9139 and I got a little bit happy feeling about that too. like Vice City was the first game I ever played (although not that much as a kid cause I played it in computer class in kindergarten and just got a chance to finish it around 2020 maybe) and I got to know Scarface when I grow up and I said "man this look just like Vice City!" then I found out that Scarface also has a game, which is really a Gta inspired game that I also love too.

Fun fact: This game is actually a direct sequel to John Woo's Hard Boiled. In fact, Woo himself had control over the game along with Terence Chang and actually founded the company who made this game along with Chang and another person, Tiger Hill Entertainment. This game really is massively underrated and deserves attention. Thanks for playing it and enjoying it while bringing this to attention!

@@Robocopnik Of course! You can easily know that it's a John Woo flick if any scene has doves in it. It's been one of his staples and a well known trademark of his movies. Hell, even the second Mission Impossible which is directed by him by the way, you can spot some scenes with doves. His other movies centered around a western audience are really good and fairly enjoyable.

Hard Boiled is a classic and I do like many of Woo's Hollywood action films like: Broken Arrow, Hard Target, and Face/Off. Stranglehold was the last hurrah for Midway. Blacksite Area 51 2007 was not a good follow up to Area 51 2005. I haven't played The Wheelman, so I can't comment if it's good or not. I did like many games Midway published on PS2/Xbox though like The Suffering, Psi Ops The Mindgate Conspiracy, and Area 51.
