I’ve never heard of Trevi let alone Trevor back then but let me tell you, I freaking LOVE her. I could have listened to 2 more hours of you chatting. She is just one of those people who you want to be friends with. Her down to earth, open, fun personality after all she has lived is not only admirable and inspiring but refreshing. New fan here. 😘

I've never even heard of Trevi until now, but I have to say this is hands down my favorite episode so far. She is so funny, interesting, and endearing, not to mention drop dead gorgeous, like STUNNING, and she comes across as so sincere and forthright. I'm seriously going to look her up now. Also, this goes without saying, but the Sapphic community would be ecstatic to welcome her with open arms, because goddamn, she is soooooo beautiful - inside and out! ❤ Please, please, please have her on a repeat guest list because I could watch her chat for hours.

i loved this collab!!!! i remember following o2l, 5quad, and magcon growing up. i was obsessed with all of the collab channels. when i was in middle school i remember showing my friends the different videos and we all agreed that we wanted to live a life as fun as theirs. sometimes now at 20 i find myself a little sad because my reality didn't quite turn out as i thought it would back when those channels were still around, and i know i am still pretty young and so are a lot of these creators, but it was really nice to hear the perspective that trevi gave when she said that growing up as an influencer was almost the equivalent to growing up as a child star. I think a lot of times we forget that what creators post on social media isn't always the full story. so now after hearing this it just made me realize that maybe i have been being too hard on myself, because even if things had turned out the way i used to hope for, there still could have been other areas of my life that were difficult. i really did love this episode (and this entire podcast in general) this video gave me such a sense of reassurance that i didn't even know i needed. thank you guys for being so open and honest on here. i love it!!!♥♥♥

God this was just perfect, I watched trevi through tana for years, I remember the days she's referring to and watching those videos as they were posted. She was always hysterically funny but so clearly struggling. Makes me want to cry happy tears to see her sober and so alive. She is just absolutely stunning, not to be dramatic but I couldn't take my eyes off her the whole video. Such a good interview

Trevi is such a delight, I really admire not only her vulnerability, but general comfort with who she is and the work she's done to reconcile the ups and down of past versions of herself. She comes across as a very self-affirmed individual who is willing to share her experiences and wealth of knowledge with others. On a personal side note: I'm so thrilled to hear Trevi say "it's because I'm from California". Same, girl, same! Folks carrying on about how "fake" LA is is such a tired trope... especially since the curated version of Los Angeles is largely being fed to the masses by snowbirds and transplants who are cosplaying what they "think it is" to be an Angelino. Most respectfully, "We. Are. Not. The. Same." 🤪

Since you mentioned Susan Wojcicki, I wanted to share that she passed away from cancer this month. She was a very impressive woman, multi-disciplined, smart, and business-savvy. Google started from her house's garage, and she's the one who persuaded Google to buy KZbin - and we owe a lot of what it is and has been to her. I think it's important to note the exceptional woman who paved the way! RIP Susan ❤

Queer science girl here. There has been a large GWAS study already on the genetic component of same sex experiences. While there is not one gene that makes you gay, your DNA does determine how likely it is that you will experience same sex relationships. We really are born this way. If anyone wants to read more, the article was published in Nature titled "Large-scale GWAS reveals insights into the genetic architecture of same-sex sexual behabiour".

it's interesting how the generational thing with parents works because like... a lot of millennials' parents were hippies? i'm often surprised by the conservative responses so many people get when they were growing up in the free love era. but i guess i was very lucky that way and a lot of people's parents could be the same age but not be exposed to things the same way

Hi, older millennial here. Hippies were part of society, but they were not hegemonic. They were a countercultural movement, which implies the whole culture was different from them. Also, many people had a shift in their views as it happened many times. Remember that Reagan and Bush happened, and the AIDS crisis. So, yeah, some millennials may have hippie parents, but many do not. I'm a millennial, and my parents are kinda silent generation/boomers. They did enjoy some of the hippie's artists, but they were not hippies themselves.
@ArtichokeHunter
@ArtichokeHunter 3 ай бұрын
@@KalhyceK i didn't mean to imply anything that disagrees with what you said. Just a lot of us (not necessarily the majority, just a bunch) do have parents who felt some degree of alignment to the hippie movements and values, who were raised with that to some degree. For me, I think that connects to the openness and acceptance I grew up with, but I have other friends with similar parental situations who had deeply internalized homophobia, who didn't find acceptance from their parents, etc. All I was stating is that I sometimes forget how much those negative experiences can happen, even if one's parents were hippies.
