Not going to lie I watched this video and its made me even more excited to buy my first pickup truck, I currently have a mazda 2 and do a lot of mountain biking so I'm travelling to some pretty rough places, who know I might find a new much more expensive hobby to get into haha. I have done the same! The cinematography is amazing! Couldn’t really tell much difference in quality between this and the Aussie channels who have a proper film crew! Apart from the accent lol

My only fear is the off-road capabilities of the ranger and being able to do what you guys do! It has no rear diff being one problem. I got an excellent deal on the Ranger, that’s why I chose it, but in hindsight not sure if it was a good idea! Only time will tell!

Took me 3ish months just to settle on the Ford Ranger! Now I can’t wait! Managed to find a decent bargain for a 66 plate facelift model with only 45k miles on for around £19k- still keep questioning the off-road capabilities though- it doesn’t have a rear locker 😩. Initial upgrades are new suspension with 2in lift, 32inch all terrain tyres, roof rack and lighting. More serious upgrades are RSI canopy, front and rear bull bar. I am not sure I will be doing as hardcore routes as yourself though!

Great vid guys - both lanes are on my bucket list! Out of interest - what wheel/tyre size does the D-Max have? I've got same year/model with a 2" lift, snorkel and roof-tent fitted, just need to decide on the tyres and my setup is complete!

I’ve been doing strata for over 20 years and the bomb hole used to be a lot more harder than that but unfortunately longer wheelbase trucks with big overhangs have attempted this and it’s become more and more full of stones and rocks because they’ve had to use them under the wheels to increase height! Also I believe parts of it will be shut and I’ve even heard about tarmac being put down to increase tourism which would be a bloody shame.

We have been on a trip with the ford ranger raptor what was a awesome bit of kit ! You will be fine and have a epic time in that though dude ! Get out in it and have fun ! Just get your self some decent tyres and you will be away !

Looks good but you missed the best but of bastard lane! You drove round the big hole at 6 minute ish! You can get down it and get some nice flex if u keep hard to the right!
