Star wars program and various multilateral initiatives inc SDI were vastly more productive then the 'ministry of truth' would have us believe. Many top scientists and engineers lost their lives in connection with these "defense" programs. (SEE 1989 20/20 broadcast called "Grave Secrets") It would be completely ignorant to believe the true nature of "star wars" was a failure to this day. Especially considering the multiple Darpa projects that the general public currently know about inc. "Star link".
