Tobias tours with Jonah Nilsson, producer is Quincy Jones, recipient of the Polar Prize 1994, Quincy Jones has among other things produced Michael Jackson. Tobias promises that he will continue to take time for our performances. Tobias Grenholm began his musical career in his hometown Skellefteå. He then moved to Stockholm to study music at Bethel Folk High School and the Royal Academy of Music. Immediately after the School of Music, he started freelancing as a bassist. Tobias had great musical success with the group Kristian Brink Quartet who, among other things, won several Swedish, Nordic and international jazz competitions. He also won the award as "Best Bass Player" at the jazz festival Jazz Hoeilaart in Belgium in 2008. Tobias has worked in a number of different genres and done everything from recording and touring with Swedish and international pop artists to working with musicals and he plays with many of Sweden's foremost jazz musicians, singers and big bands.

Jonah is like a bass blood hound-every bassist he's playing with is a revelation, whew! It so sucks that songs like this don't make it to number 1 on the charts, what is wrong with people? I totally agree Seth. Ya man, I was listening to jazz fusion when by friends were deep into "Classic Rock" and I felt like I was on an island. When Dirty Loops hit the scene I felt I had these new kindred spirits and instantly became a fan. MJ had a huge talent for harmony. Listen to the multi-track harmonies on his best albums. Jonah totally gets it and can exactly replicate, even improve, on it because, as a musician with advanced training in classical and jazz, he can find chord structures and inversions that weren't even on MJ's radar.

Tobias plays the bass like the most talented musician in a class taught by a guy with a ruler who's not afraid to use it. His economy of motion...the ruthless efficiency in fingering, his perfect transition from bridge pickup for picking to neck pickup for slap and snap looks like serious training to channel the talent. Henrik Linder, Richard Bona, Tobias Grenholm...nobody should meet that much bass talent in a lifetime nevermind collab with them all.
