​@@RickToone​@andrefludd Where can I learn more about this trem? Still have many questions like 1. can you downtune and change tunings without the hassle of Floyd or 2 point trems? I have my Floyd blocked to dive only because I like to downtune without having to spend time making back and forth spring adjustments. Curious if it's the same process with this? 2. Since the bar doesn't move the strings, safe to assume that you can't break the strings if you pull up too much? 3. Do double stop bends throw one note out of tune just like in a normal 2 point trem or Floyd? Thanks

Ned Steinberger's TransTrem is an incredible work of engineering. I have tremendous appreciation for what he has contributed to the guitar and bass design lexicon. My design uses entirely different principles, but the ability to pitch shift chords is a similar outcome and musically excellent. It is also really nice to use off-the-shelf guitar strings purchased in your local music store.

@@RickToone I can appreciate solving one of my biggest peeves about one of my favorite guitars, that pesky trem system that I still choose due to it being familiar and knowing enough to make them fairly stable, but totally stable is completely my ask for decades of any maker of a bridge, and shy of Evrtune systems that require mods, nothing approaches it but your design to my ear.

Agree. Would love Hipshot to handle them and make them in the states. Gotoh and ABM or Schaller would be great too but as a tech/builder in Oregon and Hipshot dealer... 🤞 The design is such a nice marriage of form and function. Some trad minded players will balk at the modern look but that will be them missing the boat. Bet it feels great to palm mute. So smooth it might catch some Bigsby fans as well.

I’d be curious to know how the other strings behave if you bend one of them. Or what happens when you break a string. Finally tuning the guitar with fresh new strings, that annoying tuning up and down ballet, is it still there? If it does perform differently in those scenarios, perhaps a video demonstrating those scenarios would be really nice.

So sorta like a 'bender' on all six? Man, that's pretty wild. Would one of these with a tiltback headstock, straight pull tuner alignment, and locking tuners be comparable to a Floyd-style setup in tuning stability? If so, it could be AMAZING for a lot of players who hate all that complexity but want to really use their tremolo. Strange to hear the pitches move in tune on a chord, pleasant but just weird since others don't really do that. What a cool device! I hope they become popular/widespread (hey, PRS and Music Man: look at this thing!).

Q: can you describe the mechanism on your new trem for setting trem arm position stiffness? AKA - a set screw and Allen key on many modern trems.

Is it possible to set it to work on some strings, while others remain fixed? If so, pedal steel type bends would be possible. Or maybe a quick way to go to an altered tuning, by moving the trem arm and locking it in position.

I love using my vibrato for a slight wobble...but hate that on a 25.5" scale, 1 1/2 bends are more trouble than they should be because the floating bridge continues to move as you bend the strings... I would love one of these before I age out! haha.

Would be interested in purchasing if you can put these onto the open market. Being able to pull a chord and keep it mostly in tune would be really nice on some guitars. Andre Fludd has a really nice demonstration on his channel.

How about heavy bending ? When I play a 1,5 bend on my guitars with tremolo (Ibanez), I have to bend it very far because of the move of the tremolo. On my hardtails, no tremolo moves and heavy bending don’t need so much movement. How does this work with your tremolo? Sorry for my bad English

Very intriguing. I have a couple of questions: 1) Can the feel of the arm be adjusted by the tension or number of springs attached to the claw, or some other adjustment mechanism on the bridge itself? Or is there only one inherent feel of the arm (i.e., soft, as stated in the video)? 2) Can it function like a traditional trem that is decked such that a string bend will not cause the other strings to go flat during the bend?

How is the stability of other strings when you bend one string? How is the tuning stability if pick really heavy or do slap-pop technique? I am a solid bridge user that wants to do now Jeff Beck style stuff (+ pedal steel stuff). I have not been not pleased with current popular tremolos.

What about the BIG problem of a trem system, that when your fingers bend a string up a whole tone, the other 5 strings go slightly flateven though you do t touch the trem arm? Does it fix that problem?

Question: what happens if you were to on the spot drop your low E to D? would the rest of the strings stay perfectly in tune just as would be expected on a fixed bridge like a Les Paul? or would they go out of tune like a traditional floating strat trem? if the lower string tension of the E would have no bearing on the rest of the strings this could also be one more game changer for players who use D-Tuna and wished that it would also function on floating trems (it of course doesn't)
