I love the 7/8 section starting at 2:50-4:45. From 4:12-4:35 I can easily imagine an electric violin playing along with the guitar and keys.

Man, the boomers who insist that prog rock died at the end of the 70s are really missing out. This is right up there with the classics.

John Petrucci is definetly a shredder, but I think one of his most impressive attributes is his sense of melody, Specifically the riff beginning at 7:46. Takes the breath away.

Agreed... That riff at 7:46 continues to blow my mind until this day

9:32 With the information I have now, this riff sounds like raw LMR, like Jordan could be playing that accompanying note on a different keyboard, then just imagine Marco Minneman playing the drums

The sound (and feeling) at 11:30 reminds me Emerson, Lake and Palmer, ha-ha.

Years ago I tried to do a bit of the solo on my keytar but didn't get far cuz I don't have the speed. One thing I had trouble was counting this out. Could someone help me with that it is 7/8th or something around the 2 minutes??
