If you liked this solo the best - you should check their instrumentals Speed of Light, Stratofortress, and Stratosphere. Awesome. There's more, but these 3 popped in my head quickly. - They have a lot of that 'medieval', or renessance feel. It's a cembalo sound, that the keys do - I ls like it, brings to mind classic masters, especially Bach.

It´s hard to pick a song from stratovarius, there are too many good ones. If you want fast, short song next i can recommend "Speed of light", "Find your own voice", "I walk to my own song", "Know the difference"... For long songs "Visions", "Elements pt.1", "Twilight Symphony"... Ballads: "Coming home", "Papillon" (very epic), "Forever", "Years go by"... One hint: stay with the older stuff from strato.. that were the golden times. With Tolkki in the Band (Guitarist). "Polaris"-Album was relatively boring, "Elysium" a little better.. but honestly stay with stuff from before "Polaris".

Unless you've got around to it already, I'd strongly recommend "Elysium"... It is easily the most complex Stratovarius track and likely one of the most emotional. Have a good listen!

Unbreakable is my favorite Stratovarius song ❤️ You should also check out Cain’s Offering if You haven’t yet! Singer is same than Stratovarius but songs are better 🤭.. Suits in Timo’s voice better , my opinion though 🤔😊👌🏻

Try some stuff from the newer lineup though. I think they we're really kinda switching gears with tracks like Deep Unknown and Under Flaming Skies. From the old stuff there would be Speed of Light at least.

I myself prefer the new Stratovarius, after Tolkki left (the guy is completely nuts btw, no matter how great of a guitarist he is, I think it helped the band when he left). Polaris and Elysium - both great albums, overall more consistent than any album before, which were full of filler songs, even though arguably the two do not have such a great song as Destiny or Black Diamond were (though plenty come pretty close). The album Nemesis was rather a miss for me, save for Unbreakable, which was a really cool song. The rest felt to me like a filler yet again. Don't think I listened to the latest album, Eternal, yet, but I guess I'll give it a shot today.

samous Well, I'm always partial to the older stuff through nostalgia. Although, I will say it did get a little stale for me later on. The new stuff was a breath of fresh air in that sense. Also, can't deny the talent of the new guys to fill those boots. I hear the new bass guy is a descendant of Sibelius. Gotta count for something!

I recommend you to try the band Aquaria from Brazil. The song Judgement Day is from their album Luxaeterna. I personally like it a lot. It's a 10 minute epic song. They mix elements of doom metal and power metal. This song has an unexpected ending. It is emotional. It is heavy. Sometimes, it is a bit progressive.
