Listened to a podcast with Tolkki and Jorg Michael recently. When Jorg said "we never rehearsed", that kinda answered my question as to why is it weirdly sloppy when they play live.

yep, keyboard players are geniuses, for real,scientificly, something about the instrument that makes you use your brain differently, it's like the cat sittin up on the couch , and it's just lookin at the dog chasing it's tail, and the look on the cats face just says, please, you really are a simple creature,,,,, that's how keyboard players look at us (guitar players)

​@Jake Qwaninne yes its funny you mention that. I've been playing piano since I could remember. I've done tests, and I'm actually brain neutral. The left hand is still typically a little harder even if your left handed like me. But there is something to that.
