Since you probed the whole block, how good are the tolerances "as delivered" for a mild street engine build?

Will this block clear a 3.875" stroke crankshaft?

We believe 3.750" goes with no work, after that not sure. Has nice deep reliefs built into the casting....Summit says: • Cast in Germany at a Tier 1 OEM foundry • Made with class 35 Iron Alloy, Higher tensile strength and harder than competitors' class 30 • Machine-finished in USA on precision hi-speed machining centers • Priority main oiling systems & Siamese Cylinder bores • 4-bolt nodular iron main caps, splayed outer bolts, 180,00 PSI main bolts included • 350 or 400 main bores and 1 or 2-piece rear main seal options (small Chevy) • Multiple bore sizes, finished to -.005 in. undersize, Hone to fit • Cast in stroker clearance • OE roller cam compatible

BPE is BluePrint Engines out of Nebraska.

I've seen the BPE logo on their cylinder heads. I've only seen their blocks with BluePrint on the front China wall. The block shows SUMMIT on the China wall, and I guess it's a different block with "BPE" near the oil pan rail.....interesting. So what are you getting at???

It's the same deal with Brodix and Edelbrock. They are having BPE cast their blocks and then tacking their name on them with a core insert or by machining Blueprint off and engraving over the top.

@@arturozarate1752 if you look at summits site the blueprint blocks are no longer available, one part number is BPSB4125200S. The resemblance of the casting is uncanny.

How far in horsepower has these blocks been tested? 700 hp seems low!!

@@jaybyrd8592 Same casting as the BPE blocks and Richard Holdener got over 1000 hp out of one of those with an F-1A Procharger. How long it can last at that output is unknown, but I personally think 700 would be plenty for a street car(unless you like riding around in a jungle gym).
