A thing to note, especially with wider tires, is that your tire deforms quite a bit, when you sit on the bike. If you don't account for this, your speed sensor will measure a little too high. Obviously there is no way to avoid this completely, and if you're in a covered area, the speed sensor will most likely be more accurate, but if you find that the speed sensor measures a bit faster than a good GPS, when you're going straight, on open roads, then it's probably for this reason.

Thanks! That's a great suggestion. I'll double check my measurement. So far it seems to be accurate vs others with speed sensors.
