The piece that strikes the fear of god in pianists. You have everything from thirds, octave glissandos, rapid scales, cramp inducing tremolos, weird rhythms, wide jumps, difficult voicing and stamina. Insane!

Yes, some younger pianists attempt this but to my ears, none comes close to the highly charged steely grit that Pollini did.

This is very good, no doubt. But please give a listen to Abdel Rahaman El Bacha's Petroushka. In my opininion, his rendition is the very best! You can search it on KZbin.
