I’ve been recreating this using your pattern but I have altered it slightly so it’s big enough to hold a phone and I’m not sure how I would make the leaves bigger to be proportionate with the rest of the bag, do you have any advice?

You absolutely could do so! It would be smaller in size though :)

i am making it with thinner yarn now. had to change the pattern slightly to make it big. so far i changed the starting chain to around 30, and then did 9 rows of HDC instead of 5. then i did about 5 rows with decreases, then 2 rows of HDC, and then kept doing rows with decreases until i got to the bottom. ive only finished the front panel so far but it looks pretty good!
