Hello and welcome back to my channel! This weeks vlog we are headed to the strawberry farm to pick strawberries and enjoy time with family. This is a tradition that my family does every year. . Later I will be sharing some strawberry sourdough snacks that I will be making my family in the kitchen.

Sourdough strawberry cream cheese cinnamon rolls
-4 cups of all purpose flour
-1/2 cup sugar
-1/3 cup butter melted
-3/4 cup room temp water
-1/2 cup sourdough active
-1 egg
-1/2 tsp baking soda
-1 tsp baking powder
-1 tsp salt
Filling
3 cups of fresh strawberries
3 tablespoons cane sugar
2 tsp lemon juice
1 tablespoon plus 1 tsp arrowroot starch or cornstarch
2 tablespoon water
4 tbsp butter softened
Glaze
4 oz cream cheese
1 cup powdered sugar
2 tbsp strawberry filling
1/4 milk
1 tsp vanilla
The night before, make your dough by adding flour, sourdough starter, water, sugar, egg, and cooled melted butter to a stand mixer. Mix with using a dough hook. Cover and let it rest overnight.
The next morning make your strawberry filling by adding strawberries, sugar, lemon juice, arrowroot starch, and water to a medium size pot. Heat on medium until the strawberries are soft and the cornstarch and sugar are dissolved. About 20 minutes. Use a meat masher to mash the strawberries.. Let it cool for 10 minutes before placing it in the fridge for an hour.
After an hour, pour out your dough on to a clean workspace. Add baking soda, baking powder, and salt and work it into the dough with your hands. Sprinkle a small amount of flour on the workspace and roll your dough out to the size of a rectangle, about 14X18. Generously rub butter on top of the dough. Add a thin layer of cooled strawberry filling, spreading it out to cover the entire rectangle. Cut your the dough long ways into 12 1 1/2 inch strips and roll them up like a fruit roll up.
Preheat your oven to 375 F. Place your rolled up cinnamon rolls in a skillet, cover and let it rest for 20 min.
Bake for 25-30 minutes or until golden brown.
When the cinnamon rolls have completely cooled, Make the glaze by adding the ingredients to a stand mixer. Top your cinnamon rolls with strawberry cream cheese Icing and enjoy.
