Chatty NCT Haul ☆ Update on my Photocard Collections (I’m Selling Them 😭)

Since the start of the year, I've also come to realization I cannot continue to spend as much for my collection. I think the fans are a little bit tired with the amount of merch and releases for the past two years. Photocards and unsealed albums are also getting harder to sell here in my country, and I can't afford to have piles of opened albums just to get a specific photocard. I always wait for your videos because I enjoy your unboxing, hauls and collection so much! I'm also a little sad you're downsizing but hey! More room for haechan 🥰 will still be supporting the channel regardless how often you (specifically) upload :)

Thank you for sharing your thoughts about your future collecting endeavours. As a completist, I felt quite a bit of pressure to collect every pc too, because I’d rather not go through the hassle of ppl overpricing, not being able to get my hands on certain pcs or falling behind the merch waves. But as of lately, I took a brief break from buying pcs & now realize it’s much easier on my wallet when I don’t over do it. (Have to remind myself that my life won’t fall apart if I don’t buy that specific pc I’m looking for lol) I’ve also slowed down & only collect pcs that I truly adore now. Lastly, I think a lot of the problems that are growing out of hand are due to ppl insanely overpricing certain members, which makes it harder to collect cards & even trade, plus sm releases truck loads of MD that has pcs, since they know NCTzens are hardcore pc enthusiasts. Ps. For everyone who is feeling the same, do whatever you need to do for collecting to become enjoyable again, but also don’t forget to be mindful of the amount of money you spend. If it’s stressing you out, take a break. I promise pc sale posts will always be popping up. Just becuz you can’t get your hands on a specific pc right now, doesn’t mean there’s zero possibility of you being able to buy/trade for it in the future :D

i also came to the realisation that i was spending way to much on kpop in general 😖😖 and that i would rather go to events like concerts and experience and support the group that way /// i love renjun lmao and cant seem to part with my pcs for him so they are just kinda sitting there (i weirdly kinda hope i get back into collecting 💀 so i dont have to sell them) but i kinda stopped just before glitch mode, i was going to buy albums but ending up not buying any albums (which i do regret but hey theres lucky draws coming up so) sm just did way to much this era, just in pobs,, for half of them to end up looking the same // and theres probably a lot more merch to come 😭 but i think im going to buy albums & buy the cutest/my fav renjun pcs.. (but i also struggle with buying haechan pcs because hes so cute OTL) oh! also i really enjoyed the dicon sets for nct/bts (i didnt buy the seventeen one haha) but i felt that the price was more worth it for what you got? like the full set ig? i wish sm did more set things,, but thats not going happen anytime soon lol sorry for this essay but take care !!

I totally understand where you are coming from 😔 I want to keep my PCs but not continue but not continuing is also kinda hard …. It was a hard choice but I think I’ll be happier just buying what I really like 😔

wow this video couldn’t have popped up at a better time for me. For the past few days I’ve been kinda struggling with the thought *which has never crossed my mind once since collecting, until now* that I realized I have spent soooo much money on my collection, all at once especially. I totally get what your saying abt the pressure thing, bc I always feel exited ofc to collect, but than at the same time very stressed out. I hated that feeling and also battled with the thought of if I should have even started collecting albums and photo cards. I obviously don’t regret starting it lol but it was just a thought that really has been buggin me these past few days. Thankfully when I buy albums though, I don’t buy multiple copies. I just buy the one copy of whatever album and than just stick with whatever member I get or as I’m getting into trading now, to trade them! i ain’t gonna lie though I bought 4 copies for glitch mode, which is my first time buying more than one for one release, but I couldn’t resist and honestly don’t regret this one at all lol. But anyways sorry for the long paragraph, I just wanted to lyk how your video helped me realize that, I should take things slow and I don’t need to rush in growing my collection, and making myself feel stressed abt it all. Because I love the joy it brings me, and it shouldn’t consist of all that stressfullness! thanks sm, and I fully support you and your new decision 🤍!

I've recently started getting into collecting like late last year and i kind of got into this hole of feeling like i need to get everything immediately which is so bad on my wallet and also stresses me out and with non album pcs its so much worse watching this was a great reminder i dont need to rush in my collecting and that i also dont need to have everything :-) thank you for your video!!!!

your decision is totally understandable!! i didn't use to care about collecting but recently i bought a lot of photocards and merch (for the pc) and i realized i need to take it slowly as i may fall too deep into the collecting hole 😫 definetly gonna spend more consciously from now on as well :)

I totally understand where you're coming from. I was so busy with work that I would put off even opening envelopes with my buys/trades in them. I decided to not actively collect my NCT biases anymore. People overcharge sm pcs and as a Taeyong and Johnny bias, it was always hard. Plus buying multiple albums takes up so much space. I decided to either only join gos or just buy 1 and keep what I get. It isn't worth it if you aren't having fun anymore. I am glad you made the decision that has your best interests in mind. Can't wait for your next video

I was buying so much on 2020 but last year I decided to focus on my top priorities and it was the best decision I’ve ever made. My collection is up to date, I don’t stress about collecting anymore AND I don’t overspend my money. I buy album pcs and merch that I really like and that’s it. 🥰 collecting should be fun but bc of the pandemic, the amount of things companies release nowadays is insane. It’s been two years since I started collecting nct, and a trick that I’ve been using to not buy all the extra merch is to fill a 9 pocket page with my album pcs and merch. That way I limit myself to just buy the things that I really want and also have a pretty layout in my binder. Love your collection and your videos❤️ collecting is a hobby and not a priority, is good to focus on other things in life. I hope you enjoy collecting more after taking this decision, I’m really happy for you!! 🥰

I started buying tons of albums during hot sauce era and it continued for every nct comeback. Then came the merch and i got caught in the routine of "i need to have every photocard out there." Now for 2022 i have resolved to collect only album photocards since i collect all members, and then buy only those merch which i really like or when the photocard that goes with it is one i really really want. I will not dwell anymore on the fact that many photocards i bought before are now only worth half of how much i paid for them then as i want to focus on the joy of collecting and not on the investment part of it.

Well it's kinda a sad video but it is also a great thing! I completely understand even I don't ever feel like that with my Jeno/Jisung collection. But definitely I felt like that with my 127/Yuta collection. I don't even want to buy everything for him, nor do I want a complete 127 album collection too. I buy only the thing I wanted to and I felt so much better. Like I don't buy their season greetings anymore, same for WayV now. I don't buy that much of their merch. I don't buy the postcards set or photo set anymore. That's not something I see myself do for Dream right now. My goal right now will probably to collect them like I collect for SHINee non album pc. Not buying everything, just the things with the photocards I like (or without photocards), buy useful things. As for glitch mode... I have to say... SM just went crazy... after the Arcade merch things... I actually spent a lot for those merch but I told myself "it's fine if I just chill a little from now on". From the deluxe boxes (available only in the USA at first but now available for international fans too) to various pobs and lucky draw. It is way too much! But right now, because we are in a period where I can't really go to Japan for a concert (+ we don't have a Dream concert and I told myself the next time I go to Korea or Japan would be to see a full Dream concert), I use that money for just, collecting what I like. But once I will be able to go to Japan once again I will collect less but I don't think I want to sell anything from my collection except my duplicates (photocards, albums). And maybe it is a wishful thinking on my side but I think SM started to do so many more merch because they can't really do as much irl event and concerts as before so maybe once Covid will calm down completely, they will also calm damn with their merch. But to be honest, since I changed my job last year, I feel so much better! And since I am trading more regularly on Instagram, I feel so much happier too! It made me talk to some great and nice fans and I also got to use more of my creative side! I am doing toploaders for fun now and I am even starting (or restarting) to paint after probably more than 10 years!! And I got all of that because I buy more than 1 album for NCT Dream and I try to complete my collection! Or help other people try to complete their collection! I really love how I can freely talk with people after work and it makes everything more enjoyable! I also don't do as much trades (or sales) as you so it's not too overwhelming too as I try to make the trade experience for me unique and super enjoyable everytime! I really can't wait for Dream to come here in Germany in May, I will meet with my nctzen friend (Haechan stan) after a long time (2 years) and I will meet some other nctzen friends too! And I will also see the Dreamies for the first time (even if it's without Mark/Haechan, it still means a lot for me). It was great to see you post a video! I saw you selling some pcs on Instagram so it made me wonder about how you will collect from now on! I am sure you will be happier now and that's the most important!
