OR another easy way is 1.Put the marshmallows in a bowl with a tea spoon of water and melt them for roughly a 1 minute 2.Mix in the purple dye 3. Then follow instructions from 1:35 Hope this helped anyone lazy like me!! Lol!

Fun fact: original marshmallows contained NO gelatin but an extract out of the marsh root which ensured its texture. However, due to commercialization and economic reason, the marsh root extract was substituted by gelatin. Ever since most marshmallows that you can find in stores are not vegan/ vegetarian (or kosher/ halal) anymore

You can get vege-gelatin.. you just have to use a little more usually. Also.. rolling it out on a light dusting of cornflour (is it cornstarch in America? It's white and you use it to thicken sauces and custards..). Just dust it off a little more than you would icing sugar, you don't want a mouth full of cornflour even if it is very light.

To everyone who keeps asking if she's a vegan: In a video where she talks about all the cooking videos with David she mentions that she tried looking for a vegan recipe but the recipes that she found had ingredients that weren't easy to find and she knew that the people who watch her videos may want to recreate it so she wanted to make it easier since it's not difficult to find gelatin, granulated sugar, powdered sugar, salt, and vanilla extract.
