Quite a lot to pack into this film and it's been a great success as far as we are concerned - our sitting room is definitely warmer and for longer. For a two part written and step-by-step photographic details: thegreenlever.b... A good job too, as Sue has edited this film on one of our coldest evenings so far.

Thanks Sue and Andy for sharing that project, just wish I had the confidence to do it! I'm really keen on the lime mortar seems so natural. Great series, and I look forward to the next edition.

dobe762 Hi Stephen, glad you enjoyed it. Some years ago I took an evening class in bricklaying for DIY and the teacher was an enthusiast for using lime mortars. It has paid dividends here in the renovations. Thanks for watching and commenting. Cheers Andy & Sue.

***** Thanks Christiane. It's made the room feel cosier, although I've got plans to get even more 'wasted' heat recovered from this little stove. At the moment we're preparing everything for a trip to visit the folks in Scotland over Christmas so the chair film and the plans will be done in 2015. I suspect Sue's going to try the soup recipe with the Scots before going public :-) Bisous from nous deux, Andy & Sue XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX

Organikmechanic It would have been put to the test here, last night. We were 8f here. Really cold for this time of year. We had all the space heaters and propane fire place going. Best wishes, from Missouri E :)

Neil George Neil I really appreciate your kind comment. Yeah, I think we work well as a team and lets face it, it is great to be able to share with each other these projects from design to completion. Sue has a more artistic 'eye' so contributes greatly to the aesthetic. Best Wishes from Normandie, Andy..
