When ever Brian covers a song, he truely makes it his own. Im not saying theyre better, just he adds a little something of his own to it.

I have to laugh, Setzer is playing the Real Book arrangement of Satin Doll, this is one of the first songs my guitar instructor circled in the book and told me to "learn by next week", it was in the early 70s, I was 15, I could read music, I had all the barre chord forms down pat, I knew a few movable shaped forms, and I thought I was pretty hot stuff, I quickly learned that I really sucked. My immersion into movable shaped chords and chord melody and music theory seemed at first, as hard a brick wall, but looking back, taking jazz guitar lessons was one of the very best decisions of my life. The best advice I ever got was "learn to play a song and that's all you learned, learn music, and you can play any song".
