Honestly though, I'm starting to think that not debuting under YG might be for the best. I've lost track of how many YG artists that have outright criticized their own company or made subtle comments about issues like unfair treatment and lack of support. There are so many unresolved issues that I'm seriously questioning how the company is run. For example; the failure to debut Mixnine (and I guess we have to wait and see what happens with the Treasure box trainees), idols not receiving songs/not being given the opportunity to release their own songs, after the Seungri issue the company admitted to shortcomings concerning the management of their artists - but they still haven't come up with a solution other than being even more strict and controlling (wouldn't it be better to work on improving the company culture instead of punishing people for something they had no control over?!). To summarize, the trainees who didn't get to debut under YG might not get the same kind of publicity when they debut, but leaving YG doesn't make them any less talented. If they work hard they could still make it in the industry.

I was rather addressing the company as a whole. I'm not saying that it's wrong for a company to have strict rules, rules are there for everybody's safety. But entertainment companies who take excessive measures to make sure their artists "stay in their lanes" run the risk of violating human rights to health and freedom. I think YG is restricting their artists freedom way to much, because I would personally never work for a company that didn't allow me to talk to my co-workers, acquire a driving license or even go to the convenience store by myself.

hittaledigtnamntack uhm all of entertainment/companies are not perfect! just so you know!(: not just yg, actually there are more worst situation to other companies than YG or big 3. the reason why mixnine didn't push thru because their first contract to debut is only 3 months. imagine that! and then turns out the show is not that well known in korea, more on international fans so YG decided to make it 1 year or more to give them more time to be famous and successful but the companies of the trainees didn't agree to the contract.

They claim to be a leader in the industry and they want to be "a brand that inspires the world". If they want to inspire others, they should at least lead by setting a good example. Yes exactly, YG unreasonably wanted to change the terms after the show had ended (didn't they ask for 3-year contracts?). Once again I think it might have been for the best that it fell through. Not all contestants came on the show with aims of finding a group to debut in for the long run, some of them wanted to promote themselves on the show and later return to their original groups.

I will forever love SK’s BP cover, but what YG’s group did with that song (which I’ve never heard before) was just amazing. It gave me the vibe. To be honest, I can’t really compare cuz both were super good. Edit: The vibe is different and so is the delivery so I can’t choose which is better. That BP cover sounds so smooth and makes my sing. 😂 I love Stray Kids. I really love the dynamic between both teams. I like how they can enjoy each other’s performances and just have fun.
