As a long time kpop fan I remember there was a time when Wonder Girls was objectively found to be the most vocally weak in live performances after the backtrack was taken away. People were shocked thinking it was SNSD or another group cause SM always did make them lip sync. But yeah I think that kinda started the reputation cause JYP always focused more on dance in the Big 3
