Today, I ( NaniLuv1_ ) reacted to Stray Kids being disrespect on the Met Gala 2024 red carpet. The photographers were being rude and not considerate of all the commotion going on there. i just dont know how someone can hate on people that are headed to the big event and yall cant even get passed the red rope smh... Let me know what yall think!

I left Twitter a few years ago, I was heavily involved in online fandom and now do more just enjoying in private. But OOOOO did this send me RAGING across the internet when I saw it!! Absolutely unacceptable. People really trying to say “it’s paparazzi, they give everyone instructions”…no. This is a section of professional photographers in a designated area at a formal, extremely famous event. With the other celebs they asked much more nicely and in a better tone, and the usual “YES! AMAZING!” comments. From the start with Stray Kids they were shouting orders, not requests, in a rude tone assuming the boys can’t understand English which in itself is racist let’s just point that out. Telling them to jump or other ridiculous things they’d never ask of Zendaya or someone like Justin Bieber. They even applauded Zendaya’s TWO OUTFITS of the evening and yet acted this way over taking off some jackets. Absolutely ridiculous man. So glad you talked about this.

I’m a new fan of Stray Kids, as well. I was a BTS fan, especially Jung Kook … and “V” … J-Hope … Jimin … Suga … aah shucks!! I like them all!! BTS is a great group, collectively … and each member is awesome, individually, too! With STRAY KIDS, You’re also in for a plethora of good music! They just dropped a new song TODAY!! It’s called: “ I lose My Breath”, feat. Charlie Puth. The song is more R & B style … and it’s entirely English. There’s a documentary on KZbin where they talk about the thought process behind the song. … and on TikTok, they have different snippets of their choreography in water! The snippets are different than the video in it’s entirety- but still the same theme!

I am BTS ARMY and we have been there many times. Glad these idiots are getting shamed. It would be nice to see something released by the Met condemning this behaviour, but I won't hold my breath. ARMY is with you Stays!💜

Kamsahabnida is the polite "Thank you" in Korean. Annyeonghaseyo is the polite "Hello". I wonder how much of this is NY culture as well. The city tends to be a bit... let me say harsh... But whatever the reason. These guys were over the top and must not have known that everything they said was being heard and recorded. I can't imagine being this rude at any event much less where I worked. I'll edit to add that Bang Chan (the leader, the one who clapped to get the guys to leave) and Felix (in the white) are Australian and fluent in English. So they would have heard it all.

Other cultures actually embrace other people. I’m born and raised in the US and I’m sad that this is how our country is.Not everyone of course. I agree! They’re talking like they’re a side show. You can tell Bang Chan was like oh hell no, and he had it once he clapped. It’s not SKZ’s fault that the photographers didn’t prepare for a whole group photo.That’s their fault. They didn’t say those things to Zendaya who didn’t show emotion, and other celebs. I agree with you that parents should be teaching their children to be respectful. Piggy backing off of what you said about Chris Brown, there’s a song by Ez Mil & Eminem where Eminem says that this hater said his songs aren’t played in the club, but that the hater’s song is only played in the club because he is still performing in them.Shots at an artist but forgot the name, and obviously Em sells out stadiums . NaniLuv1_ , I’m glad you’re posting this reaction … I knew that Stray Kids were going to be at the Met Gala, so I was looking forward to seeing them flaunt their fits- Two of them are already models: Hyunjin-in all red ( Versace) … and Felix- all white (Louis Vuitton). The photographers said “ arigato”- Japanese for thank you. And they said Kamsamnedam- thank you in Korean. Throwing random Asian terms out there was also disrespectful. … and saying that people will think there are two kpop groups because they took off their jackets is soooo very racist -- as if to say that they all look alike … 😳 omg

And if they're gonna keep promoting and going to these events in America (which im assuming they will since they are very big right now) they will quickly learn that media in US has always been like this. Haven't they thought maybe these guys don't understand what you're saying, maybe try using some hand guestures with a nice smile on your faces. This is nothing compared to some of things shouted at BTS while they were on the Red Carpet. Americans are so dam rude. Poor Stray kids having all those people shouting at them like that. I'm like the Stray kids as they make me laugh and smile even if I'm not into their music. Rude is just rude.
