There’s also a candy that is called meringue. That’s what the “Hershey kiss” things were that were put on top of one the cookies 3 at a time. It’s basically the same thing as the meringue that is on top of some pies except it is baked longer so that it is a harder texture and occasionally has flavors added to it.
