Actually a fun fact, Ryan Reynolds (the actor of Deadpool) saw this performance, and him and SKZ are now friends. They exchanged some gifts and had some really funny interections, one including another actor Hugh Jackman. He even wished Bangchan happy birthday couple months back.

I cried when I watched this first time, because it was a competition and they really just brought it, and the whole comp Bang Chan had taken a bit of a step out of the spotlight to give moments to all the members but in this one he had his STRAY KIDS WORLD DOMINATION bit and I was like yesssssssssssssss Leader come THROUGH regarding the rap, I don't know how often rappers rap other people's rap tbh, I'm trying to think of some examples

Not "anyone" can rap BLACKPINK's and bring that same or better swag than Jennie's or Lisa's. Alot of them lack that authentic conviction to "POP OFF" because BLACKPINK's lyrics whole idea is Swagger Self Confidence that actually truly brought in the numbers. if someone tries those rap lyrics... They'll have to have made those numbers, power, and influence as a public performance. BLACKPINK's songs are fun to internalise... But to PERFORM in public... You need that CONVICTION to say those lyrics.

Imagine having the audacity saying this... "The street I'm walking BLACKPINK 4-way Intersection North, South, East, and West, in all directions we run it I bought your entire bucket list I pull you in, then push you away I do as I please because I'm a bad girl Love it or Hate it, whatever they say When the base drop it's another banger" That north, south, east, west is a "global phenomenon" shout out. That bought your entire bucket list... Is a shout out to their black card ownership and them being RICH RICH. And the four way intersection is the four members. Straykidz are more than four. And BLACKPINK's the only group that puts their name in All of their songs. So adding that self promotion seems inauthentic, copying for copy sake. It's like listening to a version of a song you know but someone poorly recorded over it. The mixing was all off, the lighting, the concept was everywhere, gun toy usage wasn't just to play off the already vague deadpool shoutouts. It's a mess and a half. But they tried. The only concept that stood out was that vocal tone drop with that beat drop. And then they proceeded to add 3 more beat drops mediocre than that drop. Production wise it was everywhere and no where. If they remade D4 the way their competitors remade Classy Savage. Concept was robust and easy to follow. Choreo, production wasnt too heavily edited, enough beat drops, and a surprise guest.

@@abramrexjoaquin7513 okay not to disregard lisa and jennie cause I think they are nice rappers but I actually let out a sincere laugh of you trying to say that's a hard rap to cover especially to changbin and han that are some of the best rappers in the industry , first of all skz concept for this performance was a mixing of their song god's menu that it's food related to match the deadpool "villain vs hero" concept they had for the performance the guns are literally props increased in the dance, remixing their song with lyrics they wrote specifically for the competition plus the beats of both songs that bang chan produced also for this performance which he was extremely praised for by other artists , just like you said bp have their name tag thing in almost of their songs , skz also have their tag which is the one you heard in the end plus the one in their single miroh so it's not self promotion it's just their tag , it's not supposed to be a cover or a copy it's as you said a remix while being true to what they always bring when it comes to sound wise like you mention the classy savage one , their concept was the best that day and they were heavily praised , including by ryan reynolds that became bang chan's friend after kingdom , skz won kingdom and they absolutely killed every single one of their performance and this is the most famous one

Anything to do with anything, outside of Black Pink (obviously FAR too much lack of insight into any of the subjects required to attempt to do what you just did.) Which was apparently just to give other people a breakdown of the performance that you know if they are in here on her comments, chances are, we already know what there is to know. The truth is, you just wanted to try and find a way to insult SKZ, who by the way KILLED THIS, fun fact, Lisa was actually IN IKONS performance this round. So just to put into perspective how amazing SKZ and this performance were as well as how incorrect you are... SKZ won this round (as well as the whole competition) hands down.... Which means that SKZ beat IKON and LISA... with a remixed BlackPink song. I respect Lisa, and this is the first time I have ever blatantly worded this truth this way. If you hadn't come in here to attack the producing, stage, quality, popularity (SKZ are WAY bigger than BlackPink when it comes to the renowned nature of their rappers. I'm sorry but you had me laughing at saying they don't have what it takes to sell her "rap". When that had NOTHING to do with their not performing if. First of all, its not right to perform rap that isn't yours if you don't have to, and specially if it's not conveying what you want to convey. The only thing that would be inappropriate about them performing her rap, is the fact that those words mean nothing to them. And its obviously not the message they want to have in their performance. However, if you are going to bring up whether or not THAT rap should be performed by THEM due to not having some kind of right and them not having, whatever you were trying to say, lol I would like to point out that you saying that about SKZ, is actually what's disrespectful. You should know that in rap, you aren't considered a rapper unless you are the hand that wrote and the mind that composed. That's why the girls are Kpop idols that rap. And SKZ rappers are.... well, actual Rappers. Sorry. But that is how the true rap world looks at that. Lucky for the girls, most people who are fans, SPECIALLY the rappers. You should react to I'll be your man stray kids cover and Love poem Mayfly (has Jongho from Ateez, Eunkwang from BTOB, and Seugmin from Stray Kids) broth were for Kingdom and they are amazing. Not to mention the Mayfly dance and the Mayfly Rap which were both amazing as well. It was a combination of Ateez BTOB and Stray Kids for the reality show Kingdom

this performance was the most watched or one of the most watched Kingdom performances, when it was deleted from the Mnet channel - probably Mnet was hacked (Mnet never acknowledged it) and many high view performances (also from award shows) were deleted. there is another one on the Mnet channel, but it is with reaction of other groups. so the video you were watching must be a re-upload by someone, that's why the video quality is not the best, but at least the the song is full and not interupted. so thanks to the person who sent you the link :) the song is cooking themed, this is another way how it is connected to god's menu. in that round of competition the teams were allowed to do anything they wanted, and this is what skz came up with. you are right, skz made the mash up themselves. If you are interested, there are some behind the scenes. firstly, from the show itself, they were shown in the episode before the actual performance: part 1 kzbin.info/www/bejne/qZW5d2OAnZ11itU part 2 kzbin.info/www/bejne/h4LQeZtri9xohtE and there are behind the scenes published on the skz youtube channel kzbin.info/www/bejne/enOylZuNa7GCeKc in this one you can see how Chan is working on the music with his friend Versachoi to adjust it to skz style you asked about Changbin being called Binnie. as far as I understand, if a name consists of 2 syllables it sometimes can be shortened and only the second syllable can be used to call a person between friends. and "ie" is just a cute ending. therefore Changbin -> Bin -> Binnie; Seokjin or Hyunjin -> Jin -> Jinnie; Namjoon or Hongjoon -> Joon -> Joonie etc. I am not sure it works with all names, like I have never heard Jisung being called Sung, but I don't know if it is because it doesn't work for that name or because Han doesn't like it.

This performance was insane, all their kingdom performances were amazing. This is a competition against other boy groups, they get missions to do and you get to see their process of coming up with concepts and creating the songs and choreos... Kingdom is definitely worth watching.

Main reason may be because as straykids produce every songs by themselves and rappers(changbin and han)always write their own raps. Also in jennies rap there is lyrics ‘blackpink 4-way………’and ofcourse straykids cannot say that😆

They were supposed to make the song their own with just incorporating it into their own song gods menu! so...what they did was perfect

Totally agree, would've loved if we got Jennie's rap thrown into this, especially if both Changbin and Han performed it (heck, I actually would've loved Hyunjin to cover part of it, if he was there) but I think they left it out, out of respect to Jennie because it's such a major signature of hers. Plus, they really wanted to put their own flavour into the mashup, which is why we got the raps we did instead. Still a great performance though

So Kingdom has I think 4 seasons. It is a competition which matches multiple boy groups (they did a girls groups also) against each other week after week, with different challenges. 100 second challenge, sing a #1 song of your group, Sing your top song but it needs to be re-arranged and different from the original, Exchange songs re-arrange and perform them, A No-limit performance choose a song of your choice and create the choreo, (which this song was produced under) and last challenge was to produce a new song and perform it on this stage. This song was aired on episode 8, and it was pitted against IKON, which did a similar thing with BlackPink Pretty Savage. and IKON version was the #2 song viewed in 2021 on this channel. (IKON Classy Savage). SKZ Gods Ddu du was the #1 viewed in 2021. SKZ was ruling this competition, they did another song remix of BTOB - I'll Be Your Man, another masterpiece.

You have GOT to check out Ateez. That you love Skids so much tells me you’ll enjoy Ateez too. They are similar in that they are 4th Gen performance beasts. They were on Kingdom with StrayKids and they’ve all become great friends, plus Ateez put on amazing performances. They just had a comeback with Halazia, which is an amazing song (though a interesting place to start with their lore. Ateez has the most expansive and unique lore of any kpop group I’ve seen. They incorporate their MVs, their live stages, things they say in concerts, album teasers, epilogue and prologue videos for albums…literally anything they do can be an easter egg for their storyline, which is amazing. It involves pirates, time travel, parallel universes, treasure, doppelgängers, and a band of guerrilla fighters seeking to end oppression against art, emotion and self-expression.). If you want something to get you into them, Ateez and StrayKids performed with another group (BTOB) in the third round of Kingdom. They divided up into rappers, dancers, and main vocalists to perform 3 songs (Colors, Wolf, and Love Poem). They were amazing performances full of three amazingly talented groups mashed together.

Skz, when they were still about to debut from their survival show, also covered BP, and they don't completely use the "Blackpink in your area" haha just "stray kids in your UGhh" type of cover haha I think skz, esp with this no-limit stage of Kingdom, didn't want to make a rendition of Black Pink's D4 and leave an impression of "imitation". More so if they used Jenny's iconic rap coz that's her thing (just like when they did BTS's Dionysus and left Suga's rap alone) and they don't want to attempt to get in the same spotlight (I think this is similar to having Lisa guest and do her rap for iKon's stage in the same show, and prior to skz's performance), rather this is the "New or God's D4" (from New/God's Menu) so the rap highlights would be the splitting-the-neck thing that Changbin did and even Felix's Gordon Ramsey moment.
