The MV has quite a lot of movie references and the story line is inspired by the film inside out. We are basically in the mind of the kids on stage and going through/fighting different emotions until only pleasure remains (the disappearing Chinese characters are emotions). So basically the kids are overcoming their stage fright. ❤ The map is a cross-section of a brain btw. Yes it does seem like a concept ateez could do. As a staytiny I don’t mind at all. And considering how close the two groups are I can’t see ateez would mind . And now that people are saying the concept pictures for the new ateez album look a bit like a skz concept. I’m manifesting a crossover in their universes even more. I really really want a collab or even better a mayfly reunion. Loved the reaction 😊

This song is so good... Stray Kids never fails to disappoint! I also loved the rock version of the song, I just kinda wish they re-did the vocals with it, to kinda match the feel... or maybe I just want to hear the rock version live. Also, I'm a StayTiny, Ateez is my Ult group... but legit, I feel this song is totally 100% a Stray Kids sound, the MV style is distinctly SKZ style, and even their use of pirate imagery was used in a way that was unique and never reminded me of Ateez at all. But when I heard the toxic side of the fandoms were going after each other about who did what 1st, I was trying to make it make sense... and the only element that even slightly reminded me of Ateez was the amount of flags, because you know Ateez loves their flags...

With SKZ dabbling in so many genres and samples, the only landmine seem to be their fellow 4th gen, who, despite their friendliness and collaboration, got petty fans pointing fingers at each other. Even stays had gone and point fingers at Ateez during Guerilla LMAO. Also, SKZ is bound to have an explicit Pirate concept and "approrpriated" sound (which Ateez, or their producer, has pretty much mastered as its their core sound in their debut). Coz SKZ had their song Broken Compass which was 3racha's song prior their debut and their Bay 8 stage years ago, among other POTC and Peter Pan references. Oh! And stays have researched on a Japanese folktale linking seafaring and the giants in the MV being a creature called "Umibozu", which is a manifestation of drowned souls and monks whose goal is to drag ships along with them (underwater scene and the feeling of being dragged down by the monster to represent stage fright makes the Pirate concept integral to the narrative) You might have or should check out the docuseries for the whole set coz they explain the story too 😊. Ps. Youre Rock reaction felt like unclogging my ears coz what? Its like hearing the song with more clarity given your descriptions and reaction 😂 didnt know that was possible

It's literally just the pirate part and it was only 1/4 of the entire video. The bank with clown scenes is referencing the "Dark Knight" Batman movie. The one with the gold outfits is like "Mad Max." So it wouldn't be so far off to think the pirate part was "Pirates of the Caribbean" related and nothing to do with Ateez. I mean they don't own the pirate theme.

I think for me it was some of the musical elements, some of the choreo moments, and the actual scenes with the big truck/speakers/flags and stuff. Not the actual pirate part. But I think the fact that songs remind us of other artists shows that we identify the same awesome things in both, you know? For me at least, it's definitely a compliment and a celebration of good music in general. 😌

I’m not gonna lie, I like the Rockstar album more than 5-Star AND Maxident. It feels like it just represents SKZ perfectlyyyy. I saw SKZ in Atlanta March 2023, and the FOUR HOUR SHOW was simply divine. The consistent energy and blending of sounds in a way that scratches that brain itch is always something I crave and I think this album of theirs is perfect. I hope I don’t get too much criticism but I’ll say it: I haven’t enjoyed a SKZ from start to finish this much since Yellow Wood.

They used samples from Phonk and Bring Me The Horizon. I personally do not think it sounds like Ateez. Maybe the pirate stuff made you think of Ateez but other than that it didn’t remind me of Ateez and i like Ateez as well
