This group does nothing without intention. Each song, lyric, instrumentation has purpose and meaning. They play with words...This was off their NoEasy (Noisy) album. From what I understand this album and this track in particular is a clap back to their critics. 3Racha (Bang Chan, Changbin, and Han).still exists as a subunit of Stray Kids and they produce all of their music. They also have the vocal line, VocalRacha (Seungmin and I.N) , and DanceRacha (Felix, Lee Know, and Hyunjin) the dance line. The whole world of Kpop is a deep rabbit hole and very different from the Western music industry. Glad the special guest is a week. Welcome for sure.

Well, 3RACHA produces basically all of their music (sometimes they work with some indoor producers). I recommend songs > 3RACHA, Heyday, Slump (written by Han), Streetlight (Changbin's song)... There's a lot.

Woo first! Yes Bang Chan is the oldest, born 1997. He was born in South Korea but moved to Australia when he was very little..somewhere about 2 years old. He's the one with bright red hair in the video. But he has a fellow Australian "brother" in the group, Felix, born 2000. The guy with long braids and deep voice. He was born in Sydney, Australia All.of them are incredibly talented as singers, rappers and dancers. They are highly involved in their music making where Bang Chan is the primary producer along with Han and Changbin.. this trio is the somcalled 3racha. I hope you guys will react to more of Stray kids both performances, music videos and just plain funny clips of them..they are insanely funny and crazy... in a good way!! 😁

Stray Kids are critized as being noise music and they embrace it -- "the thunderous ones are here". Love the reaction. They have a new Japan album out called The Sound. The title track/MV "The Sound" is pretty great. Japan MVs don't have subtitles but still work a watch. There are also lyric videos out there for just the music and lyrics too. If you tell Stays what types of songs/genres you like most they will customize Stray Kid recommendations. They have lots of variety in their catalog.

If you decide to jump down this rabbit-hole, I'd suggest you start with the pre-debut Hellevator, debut District 9, after that they have an extensive discography to go through. My all-time favourite is Freeze. 3racha is Bang Chan, Changbin and Han, they write and produce pretty much all songs, Bang Chan is the genius behind majority of the beats.

Stray Kids was an experiment. As I'm sure you've read in previous comments, the group was put together by one of the members (and leader, Bang Chan), and their entire debut process was filmed and aired through a survival style show. JYPE didn't know if they were going to be successful, since this had never been done. They have all the resources your typical kpop group has in terms of budget and investment, since they're signed under jype, but what set them apart is how involved they are in the creative process of whatever they put out. They chose to take matters into their own hands instead of having the company hire someone to do everything for them. Since they were already unique for not being formed by their company, jype decided to let them still have this freedom. It comes from the sheer trust they have on them, (specially Chan, who proved not only he could form an amazing team on his own, but produce absolutely everything along with the other members through the survival show). SKZ is unequivocally a kpop band, and if someone tells you otherwise they don't know what they're talking about. Kpop is not a genre of music, but an industry. It simply refers to Korea's popular music groups/singers (you can be a kpop star and not be in a band. A soloist). Within kpop there are a variety of music genres, so you can see very different styles amongst innumerous kpop bands. But if they're produced by a Korean company, they're kpop. Think of it as the same as the many rock or pop variations in western music. When it comes to SKZ, they don't have an specific genre. Their unnoficial genre is called "Mala", and the term was created by them, after describing their sound as a "unique mala flavor". As of today, SKZ doesn't fit any mold or preexisting genre. They're Stray Kids, they can do every genre + stuff that's never been done.

Yasssss! Been hoping you would do this one and glad to see you liked it. I KNEW YOU WOULD! There's actually a few traditional Korean instruments in there someone else could probably talk about it with much more knowledge than me. Just FYI 3racha actually has made a lot their own music over the years, most of which is now available on Spotify. I highly recommend their songs 3racha and Heyday. They're also the producers of the group and Bang Chan, the leader, chose all the members himself and fought to keep them. He also left Australia and his family at 13 i think and trained for 7 yrs in Korea, watching friends debut and not getting the chance himself until finally getting his chance. It's a great story.

My current fav 3racha song is Heyday - written for a dance competition show - it's well worth a listen. SKZ are about to return to the US for some Stadium concerts. They are already fairly well known in the US with two Albums coming in at #1 on US Billboard last year.

The choreo is on point like always and I'm just in love with the entire thing words can't begin to describe how I'm feeling about this song. This song is such a hype and really gets me dancing and singing/rapping along. Also it's this song that Han became my ult wrecker. #StrayKidsWorldDomintion

i’ve seen people online start referring to Kpop as an industry, rather than a genre of music. different kpop groups have different sounds. for example, songs by Aespa sound nothing like songs from Newjeans, whose songs sound worlds different from BlackPink, and their songs sound like the complete opposite of STAYC.

They broke some of the stereotypical kpop group "rules" or "guideline" such as having an established official position within the group (vocalist, rapper, dancer) that doesn't mean they all have to be rappers or vocalist but it doesn't limit them to always stick to just one thing, it's great to see them grow as well rounded artists

lol keep spencer safe I LOVE HIM !! omg thunderous ♡ They chose a goblin theme for this m/v (korean lore) ♡ When Seo Changbin mentions jutdae he's talking about holding onto his morals/principles rather than ego and that makes him powerful.♡ People actually said that his rap was "off beat" for this part but they obviously weren't paying attention to cadence. He says this part like he is reading it off of a bulletin board or a report, and he even plays with the beat adding perfect timing for it to segway into the next verse.(rap fan lol) ♡ They performed this for the President of S Korea. ♡ LOVED THE REACTION!!

If there's a list, I recommend to put "The Sound" on it. It's from there new Japanese minialbum, and it's super catchy 😊 As you might have figured out by now, They are VERY prolific! So much music already out, and more coming in April, I believe ❤️ I agree with all the cries for venom, freeze, cheese, case 143, superboard etc but honestly, you can't really go wrong with them! All the songs are good... I think that out if 160+ songs I have found less than a handful that I might not put on my playlist ... Which is pretty impressive imo. "Charmer" is another amazing song. No MV, but lyrics videos is easily found! Oh and if you come to a point where you want to check out some more outlying genres, try Tortoise and the Hare (no music video, but there are great lyrics videos) it's one of their more experimental ones. "Time Out" (has a MV) is a light poppy rock song written as a gift to their fandom (Stay) on the fandom's birthday (we are pretty spoiled like that 😂❤️) Christmas Evel (has a MV) is their take on an untraditional Christmas song. There are so many more, but I'll stop here for now. Have fun! ❤️

11:00 Not to be that person but i just felt like i had to say this (and yes 😅 even thought this video was a year ago). Although i adore Stray Kids, i wouldnt say they had it harder than BTS or had to grind more. I would say the opposite actually. BTS wasnt even supposed to debut and only did because a group cancelled and they were an alternative. Afterwards they went through a lot of struggles, including discrimination and racism at times. They had to work extremely hard to get where they are and even helped save the company they work for because it was on the verge of bankruptcy.

Don't be dissin' BTS now. BTS didn't have a production crew behind them. They struggled incredibly hard to get where they are because their label was a tiny independent one that almost went bankrupt. They used to have to share a tiny single bedroom, for all 7 of them, and stand on the streets handing out fliers asking people to come to their concerts. BTS writes all their own music and have a hand in producing it too. BTS also sings live at every concert where as SKZ relies heavily on backing tracks and pre-recorded vocals in their performances. SKZ is signed with one of the top 3 major music labels in Korea, JYP, so they've had big funding since then. Also, maybe this is just a pet peeve of mine but, if you're going to tout being 'knowledgeable' on something --- you should actually be knowledgeable on it so you're not giving others majorly false information.

Yes, Chan/Chris is still 25 (October 3, 1997 bday). He's also straight-up a single-citizenship Australian, so the Australian identity goes beyond the accent. He's just literally Australian. Yes, technically they're still kpop -- they're part of the Korean popular music industry. But as has been said, kpop is the _industry,_ not a genre. So while a part of that industry, they are _not_ part of the stereotypical mainstream sound most commonly thought of as THE kpop sound by people who aren't familiar enough with the industry to realize how incredibly varied the sound can be, at least on the fringes. _(And since this crops up 90% of the time: I will ignore anyone who simply must pop in to incorrectly correct me with a "well ackshully..." Ethnicity is not nationality. He is Australian and says so himself; his ethnicity isn't in question. Unless you're popping up to make that same incorrect correction about the identity of literally every person descended from immigrants -- so, y'know, the majority of the Australian population -- you have no ground to stand on.)_

Based on phrasing, I suspect you might be getting 3RACHA and SKZ info accidentally intermingled. Because SKZ -- the full group that you're watching now -- _also_ released an album called _Mixtape_ before they actually debuted. It contains the songs they wrote/produced/performed during the survival show, and it dropped in January 2018, about 2.5 months before they debuted in late March. 3RACHA -- the independent pre-SKZ rap trio, not the in-group SKZ main producing unit -- produced and released THREE albums before SKZ debuted, not just one: _J:/2017/mixtape,_ in April 2017; _3Days,_ in August 2017; and _Horizon,_ in December 2017. And while, yes, their very earliest ventures were released independently on Soundcloud (we still have footage of teenage 3RACHA performing on tiny stages in underground clubs during open-mic nights, as well as posts they made to public forums begging anyone to come listen to their songs), all three albums are on their official yt channel and contain most of their self-released tracks. (There are a few that JYPE tried to erase off the face of the earth, presumably because of "controversial" content about things like su1cidal ideation. But even those, we still have, just posted by fans.) Additionally, SKZ (the ot8 group) have multiple songs in their ongoing Mixtape collection. Some get released as surprise singles, others only on albums, but all eventually wind up on an actual album -- none of which are the predebut album called _Mixtape._ Some started life as word-titled 3RACHA songs, were expanded into early nine-member SKZ songs with numbered Mixtape titles (1-5), and then were rerecorded into ot8 versions bearing the original 3RACHA titles. Others have simply always been Mixtape titles (Mixtape: On Track, Mixtape: Time Out, etc). The Mixtape naming situation is a bit convoluted and interweaves between both 3RACHA and SKZ, both pre- and post-debut, so that's enough of a starter explanation. The "talk about them coming back as 3RACHA" is...iffy. That's a popular fandom wish, and it gets brought up to all three 3RACHA members, especially Chris, pretty frequently. They deflect in standard kpop fashion because they pretty much _can't_ give straightforward answers like "No, not on the books anytime soon" or "Yes, we're getting there" or whatever. Neither they nor the company have so far been involved in the public "talk of them coming back." But 3RACHA already _does_ release new music separate from SKZ; they haven't waited on a comeback or album or whatever. They've been giving us iconic new 3RACHA content since 2018 -- it's just mostly in the form of new raps and songs for live stages, rather than in official, separate audio releases. They're well aware that they draw in even more viewers for big shows because people come to find out what separate 3RACHA content there will be. So yeah, there's already plenty of ongoing new 3RACHA-only content that's been releasing since 2018; the lack of a break-off official album hasn't interfered with that. Additionally, there are 3RACHA unit tracks within SKZ's official discography (Zone, We Go, 3RACHA [yes, that's the title]), _and_ some or all of 3RACHA collab with other artists (Changbin with Mirror Mirror, all three with Just Breathe, plus others that tend to be less well known). _And_ independent releases like "Heyday" for Street Man Fighter. _And_ 3RACHA produce work for other artists. As recently as this week, NiziU's "Paradise" theme song for the new Doraemon movie has dropped -- written, composed, and produced by 3RACHA, with additional credits for Chris in synths, background vocals, vocal directing, vocal editing, and arranging. So...yeah, while a new official 3RACHA album would be great, that's a completely unconfirmed wish that gets bandied around in fandom, while in the meantime, 3RACHA have literally never stopped producing/releasing independent 3RACHA content, both behind the mic and behind the board.
