pops in seoul scripts were always from another universe. we were just not ready for them yet. we still aren't.
@Aurawolfgirl2000 Жыл бұрын
at 10:18 I think that was from when Felix was an MC on Pops in Seoul and trust me, I've seen some of the videos and having context does not make it make any more sense. The scripts he had to follow were uhhh, to put it kindly they were unique.

You know is probably from learning English from English or Australian people. It’s a very common filler word, like um or I think etc. It can also be used to confirm if someone understands or agrees with what you are saying. It’s very commonly used where I live in the UK.
@sharinistic Жыл бұрын
Like in India, we say no? at the end of sentences kinda like isn't it? It's like a filler phrase and I'm pretty sure that's what it is there too

@@sweetmimosamommysaranghae3163 Yeah exactly. It's a phrase used in many languages around the world at the end of a sentence or to fill the void. Every English speaking country uses it except the USA,they always do their own thing.
@torr3n Жыл бұрын
3:37, i can answer this as someone who's English is not their first language, "you know" is basically a parasite word in English, we hear american rappers say it a lot, and other celebrities as well, so its mostly a parasite word. but especially it is for a non-native speaker
@sorrlinsan Жыл бұрын
agreed
@cheezarose3 ай бұрын
It's also used in a lot of languages. I speak French and we say the equivalent in French so when people learn English they just start translating that in English too. Other languages like Korean and Japanese and other Asian languages also have that. So does Spanish too.

In korean schools they teach english really weird, instead of teaching them how to have a proper convo with english native speakers they focus more on grammar and vocabulary, so they don't really learn how to build sentences (if im wrong correct me but that's what i got told)

As someone who learned English from shitty books sent by the secretary of education in Mexico and from a public school lol I can say that the "you know?" Was as common as the "fine thank you, and you?" In what is supposedly be a "natural conversation" hahaha so it's kinda like something that gets stuck with your way of speaking like a filler, until you realize it's weird and then use it as a joke to sound more US citizen lol

I think the “you know” is an Asian thing. My parents say it all the time reassuring whomever they’re talking to understands them, or something like that. I think it’s so cute. ^_^ Then there’s me: bilingual, but can barely speak either. Hahah
@bobtaybrowt906 Жыл бұрын
No i think its something they picked up from foreigners. Me personally eng isn’t my first language so the first thing we pick up quickly is the words that are repeated a lot like "like - you know - hi " etc, even the sentences like "im fine thank you" particulary is regularly used by non English speakers

@@bobtaybrowt906 I’m not saying you’re wrong, but you can’t say I’m wrong when I’m speaking from personal experiences as someone coming from an Asian family and hearing other Asian parents say it in that context.

These fits are just your normal rich kid fits here in Europe. Fashion is not a big part of the USA but in Europe and East Asia,it's everything. People who can afford it always dress to impress. Even poor people try to make an effort actually. That's why all the big luxury brands are Western European or Japanese.
@grayweathersby5028 Жыл бұрын
I think the reason some Stays may think you kind of flip flop on SKZ is because you’ll say something like as an example, I remember one video you reacted to was about kpop voices that annoyed the person in the original video (or something like that) and you went on this long spiel about how they should always use Felix’s voice because it’s unique so why wouldn’t they utilize it. And then when I think Case 143 came out you talked about them over using his low voice. That’s just the only thing I can really think of, I don’t have an issue with you I’m just trying to explain why maybe some Stays take your comments and of the top of your head opinions a little too personally. Either way every time you listen to SKZ you always appreciate their music, and I really enjoy watching every time you react to them so I hope you’re not deterred.
