He didn’t go into that. You have to go into obs and settings hotkey and set your hot keys up there first in order for the ins hot key to work

It does my head in that a multi action button, can't loop and do the action again.....either a sticky key (ie keep on doing this action until done......or setting it so ie it repeated itself 10 times......as a photographer, having to push a button 30 times, when editing photos (ie saving them or what ever), is such a waste of time.....when the streamdeck should be able to chain a loop function.

Another feature worth mentioning is that with a hotkey switch, you can assign two different icons to the button. You would click the left circle beneath the icon to assign the image you want for Hotkey 1, then click the right circle to assign a different one for Hotkey 2. The defaults are a green slider switch image for 1 and a grayed-out slider switch for 2.

My streamdeck hotkeys keep getting disconnected every time I restart my computer. The keys are all programmed in it, the shortcut folds all have the hotkeys set but the streamdeck hotkey doesn't pull up the programmed folders. I have to go into each folder, turn hotkeys off and then back on. It's ridiculous, any solutions to this? I'm on WIndows 10.

Could you please show how to add a "hotkey" function to stream deck. I use on my Logitech keyboard for example FN+F9 or FN+F10 or FN+F11. But non of these combinations (to control the sound of my mac) I can add as a hotkey function. Thanks

If you set the hotkey to F11 its the same as pressing FN+F11. Your laptop just has twice the buttons so it needs a switch, unrelated to the operating system.

@@Coosicsthanks for your answer. When I just press FN nothing happens. When I press F11 alone (I use a mac) the open windows move to the side. If I would press FN + F11 = with this I could increase the sound level. FN + F10 decreases the sound and FN + F9 would mutes the sound.

Im using SD for flight sims and am having trouble with L-ALT L-WIN as modifiers ? Keyboard works but the SD buttons dont ? I discovered early on the "Differntiate Modifers" under the drop down to record hot key values. You seem to have to keep checking this to use L- and R- values for modifiers... F Y I . So be sure the L- or R- show up with modifiers or you will have to check the box again.

I just bought the stream deck mini to program hotkey. I was able to program 5 out of the 6 keys, When i drag and drop the hotkey into 6th empty key on the deck, it doesn't take it because its displaying a next > arrow. Any way around it? please help thanks.

that is used to go to the next page, if you want to get rid of that, delete all other pages that exist

I am sure there is more than one way to do it. One method is to use AutoHotkey to simulate your right-click. Then in Stream Deck, add an Open to run your AutoHotkey script for you. I hope that helps.

I'm looking forward to his answer to your question. In the meanwhile, I've done it a number of ways. You can create a digital green screen in Google Jamboard or PowerPoint (or any other app where you can create a rectangle and color it green). Then you add the app to your scene as a source and write or draw shapes or arrows on the green screen. If the green app is on your computer, you use your mouse to write/draw. If it's on your iPad, you can use your finger. I hope that helps.

Ralph, I believe it would create a conflict, perhaps executing actions in both programs at once, or being unpredictable. I normally have Chrome running at the same time as OBS, and found that one of my two-key hotkeys in OBS (executed via the Stream Deck) was also switching the active tab in Chrome. I fixed it by using three-key combinations for all of my OBS hotkeys.
