​@@cwm8565 SOP has a very dark and gothic atmosphere, like Paradise Lost or early Katatonia, they played doom metal. And Lacuna Coil is also gothic metal with strong alternative metal influences. So I think gothic metal is not a genre, it just shows that it is under goth influences. The SOP style is close to ReVamp and Epica, it is also different from the ones listed, but I considered them gothic metal.
