Glad that you released the browns. I hope that you wet your hands before holding them up for pics & vids. Otherwise, you were probably harming them as these fish have a protective film on their scales that you wiped off. Also trout get internal injuries when you support them by the belly for a pic or video. If you really want them to live after you release them, try supporting them under the head and tail with 2 hands. Surprised your guide didn't say that...

If y'all hunt Colorado this year near South Park, Wellington Lake is great for large browns and 'bows.

That was fun to see. Good to see what you and Loggie are doing... Brian and Martin's bear adventure and E's shed tour had me "Jonesing" for some fly fishing.

The tug is the drug. Love those feisty fish. Can't tell you how many flies they've destroyed this year. Casey.... I get excited too and I appreciate a good birder. Did you let Logan hook a couple? LOL!! 👍😁

Great video Guys, some real nice browns Casey! Hope to see a video of you back out there on the dry flies!

Perhaps an ignorant question here.... but why don’t they keep the fish they caught?
@robbiek19993 жыл бұрын
Because every decent place to flyfish for trout is over pressured. If they (and everyone else) kept the fish, there wouldn't be a fishery left. The trout don't reproduce and grow fast enough for catch and keep fisheries with all of the people fishing now.

I know a guy that caught a Brown out the window of a barber shop on a string using a small piece of cheese. Bryson City, NC. True story
