Love Polk salad I watch it everyday. Fun, fun fun Elvis was having a good time at his best. Love the Army marching chant he does in the beginning and the low register of his voice. I have so many favorite Elvis songs. Hard to choose. Trying to get to you from the 1968 comeback special. Every song in that show was fantastic. The jam session was so natural and spontaneous. Just Pretend from his country music album. Crawfish-duet with Kitty White. Make sure you get the whole clip from the beginning of the movie king Creole. Patch it up from That’s the way it is, from Los Vegas.

I was 14 and in 1976. I knew a few bodyguards I went backstage I was 6'3 so Elvis thought I was a bodyguard and talked about that. He thought I could help bodyguard but I was too young I became a bodyguard later. I imagine if he would have lived I could have been apart of his group I bodyguard groups like Styx Journey and Chicago and 100s more. But Elvis the best

You would really freak if you saw his Vegas 1970 version of "Love Me Tender' when he kisses at least 30 women. Ha. When he was doing live shows and he got to the famous "Love Me Tender" all the girls would stand at the edge of the stage and he would Kiss them. I was in one show while he was on tour it was the Hampston Rds, Virginia show in 72 and foar some reason I luckily got 3 rows back from the stage. When he started singing Love me Tender, all the girls ran up to the edge and I wanted to go so bad, but my husband was with me. so that wasn't an option, I wish I had, I am not married to my husband anymore, it least it would have been the thrill of my life. Thanks for this reaction. His songs from his 68 comeback special are wonderful. The opening number to the special Trouble/ Guitar man, is not to be believed thanks for your reaction.

Hello again 😂 “any day now” 1969 is an excellent studio song of EP at his very best. If you want a funky gospel gem “I got a feeling in my body” 1973 is beyond what most don’t realize is what EP is all about. 👑✌️ Have a great weekend across the pond. Cheers from Texas!

I remember Elvis - being alive here on earth. He was as famous as everybody else in the world put together. This might have been his un-doing. That his name is so instantly recognisable 43 years after his death is quite a testament to his appeal. He wasn`t the greatest of singers `vocally` and was not an actor. But his appeal in the world was unmatched. I remember seeing a Billboard advertising his coming to do a few shows in `Vegas. It was a risk - since the sponsors advertised only that, " He`s Here !" Only one person could do that. This lass has hit the nail on it`s head. Evis was an entertainer - which is all he ever wanted to be.

Poke Sallet (correct spelling) from the poisonous Pokeweed plant can be eaten if picked in the spring & cooked well. "Hut 2 3 4" is his joking reference to his days in the Army. The "note" he was looking at is NOT lyrics to the song -- it was a note a woman/girl passed on -- there is backstage film of him & some of the guys reading the note before he went on stage. Water throwing incident Hampton Roads, Virginia 1972 @ very, very start of the video Elvis called out “Please Release Me” but the band began playing “I Can’t Stop Loving You” - he didn’t stop them, he went right into the song, he then walked over to his glass of water, picked it up & playfully threw it at Glen @ piano -- this is a fun, powerhouse, energetic performance; a different Elvis w-a slightly deeper, richer voice kzbin.info/www/bejne/gn_XgWh9mZ2Efac -- make sure you hear him say Please Release Me at that extreme beginning, then the water incident will make sense; also note his slightly irritated look @ beginning. And while this is not usually suggested by many people it's a fun, powerful performance & should not be overlooked.

His manager tied him into some dreadful film contracts, so most aren't great. However, Elvis could act and his best film by a country mile is King Creole from 1958, which was also Elvis' personal favourite that he'd made. Go check it out.

People think todays artists are great but take away the video screens, video effects, dry ice, pyrotechnics, back up dancers and multiple costume changes and not forgetting auto-tune how many could carry a show all by themselves with no place to hide, not many I’m sure, so it was all about the individual and pure talent!
