After making it thru the entire campaign twice and getting to maps I'd say this boss battle was one of the most difficult fights I've encountered and it's on the normal difficulty. You just gotta spam dodge away cuz usually there'll be 1-3 shots locked onto you before they come out so you kinda just have to look for a safe space to roll to until he stops striking the ground. Mace has one of the highest raw damage numbers in the game and most of Warrior attacks are so slow and interruptable that just spamming autos and landing a totem and an earthquake from time to time vs minions is the safest way to go.

DM is making a classic mistake by only watching what the main DPS numbers are. Had he opened the more detailed view for boneshatter and went to 2nd tab to see the DPS stats for the second hit he would have seen that it actually deals more damage than the basic hit. But only for the hit that stuns. And sure, that was not the time to open more detailed view ss he was on a boss. But still.

Went into the game completely blind and every boss really just kept getting better and better. Then I saw this guy. Me and my cousin got our asses beat so many times (I'm on merc, he's a monk) we spent literal hours trying to beat this dude and the entire time both of us couldn't help but mention how sick everything about this dude was. The poems, the transformations, the crazy damage he did, everything was immaculate and crazy fun. 10/10 experience and it only gets better from there

@@Dae... He actually started with a warrior like he always do on every games. But he very quickly gave up because he probably have foreseen that it would make him look bad on stream. He is gonna go back to warrior once he has dropped powerful warrior gear with another character, like he did with the mercenary. There is a reason why he will not play hardcore mode and why he always tries to undermine the relevance of punishing mechanics in video games. Its because he would get punished very hard and very often.

I beat this with a lightning Monk build in two tries. The first time I only lost because it one shot me with a Meteor (or whatever it is). I didn't even know it was a dog until it was in its second phase because of how fast I was able to damage it. 🤷🏼‍♂️

I could probably help you out, his attack patterns are pretty easy to get the hang of after a while but I'd still recommend focusing on health and shields cuz you just never know when you'll get 1 shot out of nowhere. Also dps is pretty big, either go for something well rounded at first or go all in on dps and try to melt him as quick as you can.

Play ranged. Stack cold res. Have patience bc it's just a monotonous slog, slowly chipping away at a massive health pool. Then you have to do it all over again in cruel, the only difference being it's more boring the second time.

DPS usually makes the fight go more quickly. Solution: get better gear. I wouldn't even think of challenging him if my dps is under 300 for just basic attack. I killed him first try as a warrior and only because I 2h while having +physical dmg%. Enjoyed the fight much better that way.

Not really because the class are not really balanced atm. Some of those builds already got nerfed. And also, those clips dont included all tries. Some are first tries, some are bot. So may be bot on with character. Some of these guys are good, but the video doesn't really show a fair comparison between them.
