OH YES, AND I DIDNT MEAN TO DO IT, So I'm a Small Streamer That Has Literally No Mods For The Chat...And The Chat Is Usually Pretty Slow, Mostly For That Stream... I Was Definitely Confused As There Are Usually 2 Chatters, But This Time Non...So I Went On To Google (i love google for this) To See Why No One Is Chatting... One Of The Reasons Was: "You Are Not Using a Mic." I Checked My Mic And BOOM, It Was On Mute. Nice Job Me ;) After All, This Is One Of My Most Important Things To Check...Is My Mic On?

Big tip I use for remembering to end stream after a raid is once we go raid out I have a multi command key on my Stream Deck that switches to the Stream Ending scene and plays music for 60 seconds then it completely shuts off the stream and recording and turns my lights off. If anyone has a stream deck or a good alternative would highly recommend programming in a multi command feature that’s similar, it’s been a lifesaver and haven’t made that mistake since! Also, always A+ video Eljay, as many others have said your KZbin content has been incredibly helpful on this streaming journey and I find your advise invaluable. Thank you for all the hard work you put into your content, you’re really helping people take their content to the next level dude! 🙏🏼

I know a schedule is important and all, but a lot of us don't live in a perfect world where our hours are consistent. Some of us work shifts or different hours every week so we cant follow a consistent schedule. I try to go on at the same hour every week on days I can stream, but I can't post a schedule because I work shifts and there is only 1 single day I'm 100% I can stream.

I think I'll do alright when it comes to titles, the stream "Go Live" notification is interesting. I would have thought that testing the game you're playing that day would have always happened but you've seen way more streamers than I have. I have a simpler way of avoiding the self dox, I am planning on just using a different Windows User account for when I stream. I will only be logged into what I need to. I was unaware that you had to manually end your stream after a raid, I'll definitely remember that, Lol.

I get home from work between 7:30-7:45am, take the dog out, feed pets, put away lunchbox/clean dishes, change into comfy clothes, and try to get the "starting soon" screen up by 8:30am. I try to stick to a 2hr stream so that I can then get to bed by 11am to wake up at 5pm and do family evening and then head off to work again. All that to say my time is excessively limited on stream days. I don't have time for more than "click and go" and then play games and shoot the breeze with friends. If you were going to make a "Top 3 Things" to do before a stream, what are THE most important ones for a small streamer who intends to stay small and do this as a hobby?

One day i used twitch's stream manager because it was apparently 'better' than having obs on my second monitor, and i realised after 40 minutes that my mic was muted. I didnt know because i couldnt see the audio tab in obs. imo, if u have a second monitor, you should put your broadcasting software on it so you can make sure everything is working during your stream, and read chat at the same time.

As you can guess, there are a lot more people watching English streams but also a lot more English speaking competition. It might also be harder for you to speak fluent English and be entertaining, I don’t know your situation obviously. Speaking your own language means less competition but also a ceiling for growth eventually. It might be easier to speak it and be entertaining at least. These are the trade-offs of speaking English vs your own, and at the end of the day you just have to do what you’re comfortable with and use the right tags/language settings so people can find you. Good luck!

I was actually going to ask if people actually check the stream schedule on twitch; I keep forgetting that it exists and I don't think I've ever checked it on anyone else's channel. My typical checklist is: - Does the mic work? - Is the audio level balanced between the game and my mic - Are my images updated - Warm up general applications - Update the game capture - Write a witty title related to whatever I might be doing. (I think my best recently was "Your Free Fire Trial has Expired" while playing Trials of Fire) - Make sure chat is visible and throw announcements where they need to be while Starting Soon is playing (Usually takes a few minutes) .. And then something breaks in the first two minutes and is fine for the rest of the stream lol. I've never really checked for what to update the going live announcement to? But almost everyone (following statistics) doesn't click on the stream notification; but rather clicks on a link or seeing that I'm live in twitch itself. And since I'm writing while the vid is playing: My comment for people who say "I'm streaming to 0 people" Imagine you always have an audience. If someone watches your VOD; they become an audience later. I see tons of other views on VODs, days, maybe a week after the stream ended. While it may show 0 viewers, do your best to act as if there's 100 viewers, or a thousand, because people will notice if you suddenly change things up as you get more views and that change may be discouraging for the content that they signed up for. Also yes; always hit end stream ;3 I've made this mistake several times while learning how slobs works

Doin 3D Art which requires switchin between softwares frequently. When I started streamin I sometimes forgot to change my Scenes/Windows. While I was explaining somethin, my viewers were wondering what I was talkin about since they couldnt see where I was actually pointing at with my cursor XD

Thankyou for the tips. I used to be after followers and do things like follow for follow but now almost everyone who says something in the chat returns for the next stream and I’ve only been streaming for 4 days.

Great tips! Would you consider doing a video about hat happens after you press "go live"? There are bazillions of videos that talk about how to set up your streams that always end with, "And then just press go live!" and fade to black. I want a video about what happens during a live stream, how you adjust on the fly, switching between windows, dealing with problems.

heyo i know this isn't a recent video. but, i've been watching a lot of your videos recently, taking all of your tips to heart. not fully done with changes, no where close actually. but, i know what i need to change and i'm making that happen. i'd love your help and more personalized tips if that chance opens up, but i'll make sure i will be creating my best content after watching these videos first lol

UUUUUGGGGHHHH I've literally raided and not ended my stream for like 3 HOURS. I'm just glad my cam was turned off when I did so, had so many weird messages asking what was going on in chat when I checked obs afterwards. Just really glad its not just me 😭

I am doing a crash bandicoot run, where if I die, I restart the level. And it is a mission for some levels.. I need to figure out a better schedule while working around finding a new job. Edit; have I ever muted my stream... yes... it was my first stream for 1.5hrs... because I didn't have anyone staying in to tell me I'm a dingus...

Well, I'm happy to see I follow all of these steps already! Except for the tech difficulties...I test EVERYTHING before stream, record, the whole 9 yards, everything seems to be great, hit go live....and then BAM. Everything.Breaks.Down. My community expects the tech difficulties now and they find my absolute lack of luck hilarious...I turn it into just chatting as we work together to fix it, joke around, and celebrate once everything gets started. They call it 'level 1'. Quality content chez Mimi.

I found that last one out the hard way. I raided someone, hung out in their stream for a bit, then went to KZbin wand watched political videos. ALL OF IT WAS ON STREAM. The audio anyways. Just my end screen with the audio from all these random things playing. I think it was nearly an hour before I realized I was streaming, and I only realized because one of my mods messaged me and said Twitch still said I was live.

Im working on setting up my stream, but im struggling with the kind of content i want to put out. My aesthetic is very gothic, but i want a wholesome vibe on my channel. My current plans are a heavily modded run of stardew valley and a Try Not To Scream series of soft-spoken horror games . I can tie them together with my style, but knowing how different these concepts are... im a little worried 😂
