A really good way to do this is to go out in your day to day life and find the small positives in your day and write them down. You might have a really good coffee somewhere for example and in streams you could open to chat that independent cafés are better than chain, then explain your reasoning behind it, maybe throw in what you like about chain cafés. You've just opened up 10 maybe 20 minutes of content.

I'm just getting back into streaming again after taking a few years off. Getting myself talking is pretty easy, thankfully. It's because I am just so... dang... *_interesting_* ! I kid, I kid (maybe). But seriously, one thing I am grateful for is my 6 years doing radio broadcasts for sometimes 5-7 hours a day. When you're on the air that long, you HAVE to be quick on your tongue to come up with things to gab about. It's NOT easy, but it IS a skill anyone can do, if they put their mind and heart into it. So, take heart, all. If I can do it, you certainly can! Great advice in the vid. Definitely gives a good basis for people to have those mental cues to get their gums flowing.
@TheTrickmeister3 жыл бұрын
You are right, always talking is something all streamers should do. As someone who just recently started out, and wants to try being consistent, always talking is probably the biggest tip for a starting streamer aside from networking. If people can just chill and talk with you, it really is easier to start just talking. But being able to talk to yourself is probably the biggest starting tip for a streamer.

@CupcakeKitty3 жыл бұрын
Great tip for any vod creator. If content is posted to KZbin as a sort of archive of your work, playlists are king. For example, I mostly stream Minecraft but occasionally have been known to rage at vex in Destiny -plant parsnip in Stardew -and goof off in other random games. I SHOULD be making playlists. Even under the heading of Minecraft, some subs and followers are most interested in content from specific worlds. One day I will figure out this magic ✨. But for now, thanks for the reminder even if you didn't intend it, your comment just helped me.

I will have fun and i am not good at gaming i see a lot of people playing games at insane skills nope i start a game at the beginning and grow hopefuly with some followers that will find it fun me not figuring out the obvious everyone knows already. Now I'm trying to build that back up and a lot of the people I used to see on Twitch just aren't around any more. As usual you guys are the best 🖤🖤🖤. Only thing thou, this all assumes you have at least a couple of views-chatters. I talk like crazy, but since I'm mostly by myself i just comment the game like crazy, laugh, scream and nothing forced but srsly just loving the game, still nothing. So yes i can prepare stories, jokes, etc but since no one is watching what should one do? I even did an entire 4H stream talking non stop by myself about major news (as if i were a news channel), with lots of content, my script, images, quotes all presented in a fluid and well presented presentation and nothing. I kinda want to look back and see what I'm doing wrong but i can't honestly figure it out 🥴🤣. Edit: i still love streaming and I'm not at all frustrated about the views, just started 2 weeks ago, changed the language so that contributes as well, but one does wonder when watching these types of videos saying exactly what you're already doing hahaah.

Super hot stuff. You are the person I have to thank for getting me my first followers. I am still holding my ground and sticking to siege, because I literally have to play really competitive games to stop me from falling asleep at my desk. Now, one small question to you - would you ever consider looking at doing shoutouts of your favourite new streamers on your channel? Maybe like at the end of a video you do a small shoutout to someone you’ve seen on Twitch, YT or Mixe-oh yeah that ones dead. If you want an example of what I am thinking, tune into JHS pedals, he does a record of the day thing at the end of every video and I know that it keeps me watching to the end, granted they are usually well known bands, but every now and then you get a doozie you’ve never heard before. I think that it is something that fits nicely into what you are doing and something of an ISP for you as a channel, I guess

Thanks for all the kind words mate! It means a lot! Just happy to be helpful honestly! As for shoutouts, we have a series of videos coming soon (first one is releasing this week) that features fantastic streamers! It isn't a shoutout, simply just talented streamers giving advice and a link. That way you guys get more value out of it rather than pushing an ad onto you essentially.

would you recommend doing a just chatting segment to start a stream with little to no viewers?
@StreamScheme3 жыл бұрын
Very tough to do obviously by yourself, and the category isn't overly friendly to 0 viewer creators. I recommend finding a niche category with a passionate and active audience wanting to talk more about it or see someone play it. Connect with viewers over that, and grow an audience in those areas.

Quick question about the whole Aladdin piece. I love how you were playing the film on stream and then got up to dance (i think lol). Are you allowed to play things like that on stream? I thought people would get in trouble like they do with playing copyright music?
@StreamScheme3 жыл бұрын
That was a while ago, not as easy any more, clips are all gone now and no music from it can be played. We were just watching individual clips but that’s still too risky now.

I don't know if you're still responding to these, but here's a shot. You legitimately point to some things I can work on, but I do a lot if not most of these things already (Chat/people are always and has always been #1 focus for me, fun titles, Stream Schedule (currently on haitus, you really see the difference), engaging with chat with questions, 20 minute pre-countdown timer with music, etc). But it seems no matter what I do there's no real growth. Sure I'm at over 600 followers, I have a regular or two pop in here and there, but it still feels like it's beyond a snails pace. I have nightbot occasionally popping fun things out there like fun channel redemptions, thanking viewers, positive messages, etc. I'm great with jokes, I do cosplays/accents, constantly tell puns, I'm hella hype, and I get really invested in what I play. I'm unbelievably thankful for my followers and viewers. It's been about over 5 years now, just over 600 followers doesn't hit my goals and my ambition. Most of the time I'm still lucky to have 1 viewer and 1 active chatter. I'm extremely sociable, my chatters are my world, I stream to share the experience with others. So any tips at that point? Honestly feels like a crap shoot, that you have to be lucky. Getting quite demoralized

Honestly I’ve done KZbin 4 years, only recently started streaming yet no matter what I’ve tried, from the way I’ve edited my videos to how I schedule them, the titles, tags and thumbnails. Be it recorded videos or live I feel like KZbin has suppressed my channel since day 1 as I’ve seen channels with only 4 or 5 videos, no editing, no custom thumbnail, a super short title and no description, but each video is over 30k views and the channel has over 1k subs, and while 1k subs and 4K watch hours are needed to monetise, some of the other features such as community posts/polls are locked behind that. It feels like I’m pushing custard up hill with rollerblades on, and my motivation is constantly up and down. Edit: didn’t mean to sound so negative or sound like I’m looking for pity, just proving a point that KZbin are a piece of crap.
@StreamScheme3 жыл бұрын
KZbin doesn't actually suppress accounts unless they post content against their Terms of service, from a quick look at your channel I'd say you've just fallen into the same trap that almost everyone who has grown up on KZbin or watched a lot of KZbin does. People see KZbinrs grow by just doing gaming videos or whatever they want, but in reality the people who grow from that have a big audience already, or have been creating the content since early days of KZbin. It isn't a case of suppressing accounts, but more just people aren't seeking playthroughs and gameplays from someone without an audience, and KZbin can't push your videos to anyone because you don't have an audience or a topic/relevancy they can connect you to. I have a whole video explaining how channels will just die in the water if they don't do very specific things, it's called EXACTLY How To Grow From 0 To 1000 Subscribers On KZbin. I'd recommend checking the video out if you really want to do this because clearly you have the commitment and motivation to make the content, you're just making the wrong type of content to start a channel. Sorry to hear you have had a hard time of it, as I said A LOT of people fall into the trap because educators don't explain properly how to start your channels. Good luck mate! I hope my other video can help!

I like the theory behind QotD but for those that are having trouble remember to have an answer to your question before posting it. Also, if you are having trouble talking while playing games that need coms (call of duty) that need some quiet to other players playing have a mute button or push to talk so your team can still play and you can talk to chat.
@StreamScheme3 жыл бұрын
Well the QOTD is more for the chat but yeah you should have your own answer as well! It really is just more planned content!

So ive been asking myself this for a while but i want/need a streamers opinion, Can an introvert become a streamer? I ask this because ive been wanting to start streaming and releasing youtube videos for a while now but i just cant seem to get the courage to press that start streaming button in my OBS. Most, if not all, streamers seem to be quite extroverted and i find myself wondering how a introvert can even start streaming. Do you mind helping me out on this one?

I answer this in another video recently, it was a Q&A called "Should you quit your job to stream?" and it talks about being introverted as a streamer! I recommend checking it out :)

I do my best to keep people engaged by just doing what this video explains but you'll always see a drop off normally the longer a stream goes unless it is MEGA hyped.

Maybe random question but is a face cam mandatory when starting out? I don't really want to~ Anyways, I hope I'll do fine engaging, I know I can do it since that is what I do at work. But at work it's much more spur of the moment rather than going into a situation expecting myself to perform. How often do chatters in a smaller channels (like double or single digits of watchers) interact with bots?
