Just a little video I've made for myself this week to look back at to push me to work harder, and get over my fears! I hope it helps others as well. Oh, and I am going to take a second to say, if you haven't checked out VidIQ and their amazing Idea generators, then use this to try VidIQ for just $1: - vidiq.com/streamscheme/

I am a small streamer right now, but I am also therapist, and I have to have these discussions a lot with other small streamers and followers who discuss their fears of doing hard things. Exposure therapy and positive self talk!! You can’t be perfect right off the bat. Messing up and making mistakes is how we GROW 🌼

...and lets face it, does someone who appears perfect also feel relatable and genuine? Hell no!

I'm on a long break from streaming because it was tanking my mental health. I made the mistake of attaching my self worth to twitch metrics. Great video as always

Great advice! I struggled for years with this. This year I started embracing failure, learning from it, improving and not being so hard on myself. It feels so much better! Thank you! ❤

Always love your helpful tips and wisdom. I’ve been streaming for almost a year now and have made plenty of embarrassing mistakes (some very painful) but have learned so much from all of them. Thankfully it gets easier with time to accept as long as you keep on “failing upwards.”

THANKYOU for being such a massive help as I'm trying to be a youtuber and every time a watch a video of yours i can't stop thinking about how i can improve my videos and get a little too existed if I'm being honest but I'm loving every second even if it's only for myself to watch.

Thank you for making this. I know there's a lot that I need to do to improve, but I see the list and feel overloaded, and so never get anything done... it's one of my (many) bad traits. I need to remember that, even if I only do one thing, it's still an improvement, and I can build off of it going forward.

My twitch growing slowly, but on youtube over 2 weeks i went from 70 subs to 146 by doing animations and livestreams of gaming, i do livestreams mostly to take a break from animating and have some fun. I do clips of my livestreams and use the sound to do funny weird animations. 🥰

This video is honestly everything I have needed at exactly the right time. I got Twitch affiliate a couple of years back and stopped and recently have put a lot effort into getting started again, equipment, alerts etc. everything but actually hitting the live button! I am so excited about the idea of streaming but when it gets to hitting the live button, I get a feeling I haven't been able to put my finger on until I saw this. It isn't nerves, its the crippling fear of failing or appearing 'cringe' or judged by people whose opinion I care about if it isn't great. If I don't stream then I can live in the imaginary fantasy bubble I have built up in my head. But as you say, this is a bigger failure because I will never learn and will never know what could have been. Thank you!

Your videos have seriously been so helpful, I love that you cover both the ups as well as the downs of content creation. It’s realistic and it shows a side that I feel we often don’t see in content creation.

The last video you made on shorts actually made me realize this. I looked more detailed into my analytics and realized I wasn't making good shorts but I didn't beat myself I used it as a moment to step back look at what the problem is now im experimenting with different short ideas. Thanks a bunch for this video as well confirming I'm at least on the right path now. Keep up the good work and thank you for your hard work.

I’m loving the process. Taking my time to be better and engaging with people more. It’s a roller coaster!, Everyone who wants to stream or creat content should most definitely try it. I fail all the time lol. I still love it. It’s all about the journey for me I’m enjoying it and I know others will too. I hope every one of you talented people reaches the heights you want. Where would we be without Stream Scheme though😂😂😂😂😂.

Damn, I feel attacked lmao. But, you hit it on the head perfectly. My issue is overthinking, especially when I have my friends join my chat. Worrying about everyone's volume level vs mine and the game and how the audience will perceive it. I need to JUST DO IT instead of worrying about 100 other things that may not even be an issue. Thx for the advice, I'll let you know when I make it to the top lol xP

I am getting ready to start my first stream, I'm 32 and was doing software engineering last 5 years until I burned out. I saved a bunch of money and decided I will dedicate a year to content creation after a lot of people suggested I do it. I think I actually have a leg up on getting over the fear of failure. I've had the compilers for my programs make me feel dumb for years. Used to be crushing and it would make me feel like a moron, but now I am just so used to trying and failing until I get stuff right. I'll be streaming under a different name and stuff, but I appreciate the content you provide here, I have been referring to it a lot.

comes down to planning probably. Not to mention actually trying to be entertaining. Streamers have a mentality of "no one is here so why should I entertain no one." vs "I need my stream to always be engaging and entertaining regardless on the amount of viewers."
@StreamScheme Жыл бұрын
Totally agree :) I think that mentality does stem from fear of looking dumb, or failure as well though
@TheSquishyOne Жыл бұрын
@@StreamScheme or they don’t wanna be “fake.” But sadly, what most streamers see is a person playing a video game or reacting to clips. They don’t see the back end of the real stream. The amount of planning is tough. But you are trying to push the message. It comes down to, how hard do you wanna work?

To be honest I took a long break because streaming drains me , its not the same as playing a game along for x hours , it really isnt.When I am playing a game I dont care how I sit or what my face does or if I have emotions or not, I dont have to worry if something doesnt work or if I miss a follow/comment etc , plus I never talk when I play a game outside the ocasion swearing but I just stay silent.

@Humpdurious Жыл бұрын
He mentioned before that he "plans out" his streams (if you are referring to streaming, I'm sure he has a script for youtube content), and he may write jokes down and stuff, but I'm pretty sure he said he doesnt have an entire script for his stream. Hopefully he can correct me if I am wrong, but I'm like 95% sure I heard him say that.

Nothing to do with streaming, but I spent 6 months on a website and have less than 2 dozen users. Only 8 of them return every day. What a massive failure. What's stupid is that I know it's better than the much more popular, slower, greedier alternative which has way less features, but barely anyone even knows that it exists.
