Not really ahead of it's time. The over all design concept was taken from the Ferrari 250GT which debuted in 1962, 7 years before the 240Z hit the show rooms. Datsun sure made a bunch more of them than Ferrari did!

munther al-kiyumi That’s a 280z. The 260 and 280 have those taillights. The 240’s are all one piece. I’d know, I had a 260 and currently have a 240. You’re correct that the original Devil’s Z in the Wangan Midnight anime was a 240 though

Honestly there are so many variables .... I know this isn't a very helpful answer but it really depends on the situation. I could go further into depth and break down what the variables are and how they can effect the outcome. Let me know if you want more information and i'll try and make a video describing the costs behind my specific build and things that can make it more or less expensive.

Wow just revisited this vid, I never praised the "EDIT" and is always the unsung hero . But I realize the EDIT is what gets my emotions envolved watching Sports Car videos. Then you have the Datsun Z, which is such an epic design, it had always got my emotions at a very high frequency. I've had many Z cars. When they were just cheap old ,used Sports Cars. Fixed them drove them, miles with smiles, how much of a true Sports Car, they were from design, to the actual car! 5 years ago ,I bought two worn out completely neglected Z cars ,stripped them to bare rusty shells , and been rebuilding both. I'm almost on the street with one and the second close on its tail. Prices have LEAPED so fast, I'm glad I have my 2 Z cars to restomod !
