I was an expert on the arcade machine version, playing mostly with Ken (red), and sometimes with Guile, against a very long list of friends/colleagues. There were a few tricks that came out only after many hours of playing: when you were attacked from top - above your head @ 09:11 , the defence is done by pushing the joystick towards the opponent (somehow counterintuitive). I remember when I was under such attack, with the opponent hitting once high, then low from the back, defence was a reversed Z move with the stick, always towards the opponent. Playing against a strong opponent on the arcade machine, was incredibly exciting, almost a chess game sometimes.

The programming was super advanced I must say. The defensiveness of the computer player felt quite intuitive. It's like they know what the fuck is about to happen when they are losing 😂 or learn what your weaknesses are and continue a particular move. That round between Ehonda and Guile was uncanny!

E Honda is considered one of the hardest characters to play as in this game. No long range attacks, quite heavy, but good hundred slap move for bonus stages or for cornering oppenents. And yes, Vega catching a darting E Honda was quite surprising! Vega is considered one of the most hardest challenges in the game.

It’s amazing to see when the player starts out every match aggressively , but if the AI gains the upper hand, the player begins playing more conservatively. The player slows down the attacks. He begins walking backwards. He begins doing simple kicks or simple hits, etc. The strategy becomes preserving HP and counter-attacking instead of aggressively pursuing the AI.

Mi personaje favorito es Ryu,pero Honda para mí es el mejor luchador y el que tiene más superpoderes.Cuando te pones a hacer esos golpes con la mano(que el brazo se vuelve una trituradora)y cuando haces esas técnicas en la que Honda se lanza de cabeza convirtiéndose en una especie de hombre-bala y golpeando con la cabeza a sus adversarios,prácticamente puedes pasar el juego y vencer sin problemas a todos tus rivales y con facilidad.
