Dialgo Prima Sakurai has changed his mind on so many things that I don't believe anything he says at this point. A few examples (out of a dozen or more) would be Villager/Mii/Pac-Man, Brawl would be his last Smash Brothers game he directs and Smash Wii U/3DS would have as many playable characters as Brawl. Also again, legal trouble. Sakurai wouldn't troll when there's the risk of consequences to Nintendo on the line.

BlazeRobotix Not sure if you heard, but sound files for Ryu and Roy victory themes were leaked in the Mewtwo update. It's still doesn't confirm anything, but this means Ryu actually does have a high chance of making it in, which is I made this theme! :D

I did check the leak, but it doesn't seem convincing to me. The Ryu sound file sounds more like a stage theme than it would be anything else, while in the case of Roy, how do we not know that they just played the regular Fire Emblem theme and then said "Hey, it was a Roy theme file"? After the Rayman incident (loved your remix for that too, btw), it's hard not to be skeptical

BlazeRobotix With 6+ data miners confirming the files are legit in the coding of Smash 3DS and the 1.0.7 update failing to remove them, I'd say it's legit. The Cutting Room Floor team and their leader being 2 of those data miners adds a lot of credibility to this. You can keep believing what you want though, I'm just sharing information.

Here's some of the reasons I don't believe it, even if multiple confirmations have been made 1) Ryu has his own fighting game, unlike the other characters 2) The Ryu sound file sounds more like it would be a stage theme than a character victory 3) Roy was a clone character 4) Roy hasn't been in any successful game since melee - Nintendo has a tendency to go for the characters who have a successful history or have contributed to theirs or the gaming industry in general 5) the sound files are exactly the same as the original Street Fighter 2 Ryu theme and every other Fire Emblem characters victory theme - it's still possible that the data miners are just saying they're in the game 6) Remember Rayman? The Internet is full of information, but unfortunately, not all of it is true. This is the main reason I won't take a fan's post at face value and why I'm skeptical I'd love it if the characters were in the game, don't get me wrong, but it's easy to be skeptical with these points considered. As popular as they are, it doesn't seem too likely. I'm not going to say I'm 100% right, but until Nintendo confirms it themselves, I don't think I'd believe it if Ryu or Roy made it into the game

BlazeRobotix 2. You realize there's a stage track *and* victory theme for Ryu found in the coding, right? 5. Smash Brothers has ripped unaltered music and the victory theme being ripped could be a placeholder. Sonic has his unaltered stage clear theme from Sonic 2006 as his victory theme for example.
