Have you seen how much damage you can do with a stHK antiair as Blanka? HK>ExBall>ExBackstep>lvl 3CA. Close to the same sequence can be used out of DR. DRHK>HP>EXball>EXBackstep>lvl 3.(I just use DR throw until I have lvl 3 to condition) Jump in: JHP/HK>HP>Exball>Exbackstep>lvl3. All can be done with various SA lvls too. Made a dude ragequit with the antiair last night, lol.

Vesper just to add a very important thing regarding weaknesses: Guile and Deejay main weakness are non-cancellable normals lik st mk, cr mk and st hk they are VERY susceptible to drive impact and they CANT cancel into drive rush from their normals except for few thats huge

It is a glaring weakness in some characters tbh, whereas some of the rushdown (ungabunga we push buttons) characters have almost all cancellable normals which means you're sitting there forced to eat their pressure for extended strings with drive rush because they counter your only way to counter that.

Dee Jay, at least, can break through DI super armor if you add a jab in front of his jab, mk, mk target combo, but yeah, otherwise he's weak to DI. If you don't commit to anything that'll get you hit by it, you can at least parry it or DI back, but it really demands you not get carried away up close.

As a kid who has hooked when street fighter 2 dropped to the resurgence of the genre with street fighter 4. I love that I just copped 6 and I swear to god..... This game is so friggin deep it will take the time to finish a PhD to feel like you've mastered this. Also this is everything....street fighter 5 was not. I got a PS4 for that game and it's been collecting dust. Thank you for restoring faith in the franchise Capcom. I'm going to grinding all summer. I'm using Luke and as a Rashid player I never thought I'd use a shoto-like character. I switched from full rushdown to zoning and mid-range control. I'm surprisingly enjoying it.

That’s why I love Luke. You can switch your gameplay on the fly since he has an amazing move set and good frame data.

New player here. Only experience is Mk 1/2 and sf2. Watched about 6-7 videos on where to start with sf6 and this video was absolutely one of the best. You nailed the level of depth for me, easy to understand but also touched on points that I can look up now if I feel like it. Will be waiting for your next one for sure.

So Juri doesn’t really have a downside is what I’m hearing. In my games she’s the one I have no idea how to tackle because she has an answer to everything. At range she’ll gain stocks. She has a crawling projectile and anti airs (which give stock). Can advance for free. Sets up 50/50s while gaining ground. Has a very good drive rush. Has an anti crossup and variable overheads. What exactly does she struggle with

@@nolakillabeast online is on and off depending on where the opp is located. You will learn more by playing other killed humans to see how to beat them. Essentially street fighter has always been a anime hyped version of rock paper scissors. Every character is essentially Ryu.. you have a fireball, anti air and other moves but they look different or the give you another property then it adds a layer of complexity because you have EX or I think it's called OD now for some weird reason so it's about learning what moves or strategies override your opps character. I hope that helps. If you can find ppl in your neighbourhood and play in person that will help even better

Minor correction for Kim, cans do carry between rounds and the only way to get both back is OD restock Also target combo > MK slide in the corner combos into MK tatsu which is especially good for getting more damage in burnout

Who tf was that disrespecting The Queen of Kung Fu!? Kenpo is Karate! Chun-Li's fighting style is all 100% certified Wu Shu Kung Fu! She uses White Crane, Long Fist, Tai Chi and Wing Chun. Edit: ALSO now she has Baguazhang(aka Piquaquan aka Hikka-ken) with her stance moves

Lily is the only grappler with a built-in, easy to use gap closing mechanic and not gonna lie, I find it way easier to win matches with her than with Ryu, even if he's supposed to be THE beginner friendly character. Nothing can get more beginner friendly than doing a simple quarter-circle motion + kick command to do Condor Spire and while still in the air rotating the analog like a madman without any kind of precision and pressing a punch button when you land to do the command grab if the opponent blocked. It's so easy to do, even on accident.

I've never played a Street Fighter game before until 6. My favorites to use are Ken Ryu and Luke. I know people hate modern controls but I like em. Honestly I can use Ken easier than Ryu

i seen a guy ask in the chat at the beginning of the video asking how he can do a drive rush cancel from a crouching low kick to the left using a fight stick, i was having same issue, i found that if you just use your thumb only and do two quick bumps on the stick, thats your huckleberry

As a beginner and i mean im green as hell don’t play fighting games but I got this one, I will accept the challenge of the fighter I already chose to main and have been putting all my time into, you consider “difficult to master” 😂 Dee Jay is my guy he’s the best and as this is the only game I’m playing I’m dedicated. I just know I’m gonna have to transition to classic controls to truly unlock his full potential tho and it’s a daunting task for someone of my low skill level, but I don’t wanna main really anyone else. so as someone coming from mortal kombat, I would recommend either luke, as he pushes forward with hits a lot like MK characters and his moveset and playstyle feel similar, or if you liked zoners I would def try JP (and its even better, you don't have to worry about every other character teleporting behind you!), as JP's kit feels like it was ripped right out of MK, with the portal mechanic, the look and feel of his moves, his general character aesthetic, the long list of moves that are all the same thing (MK fans know), and the timing for his moves to chain together feels more akin to MK than SF.

Another weakness with Manon, her best normals aren't drive cancellable (cr. MK, st. HP, cr. HP) so she's not as flexible with drive rush. However, the situations where she can drive rush are reliable and simple to execute

Great vid! Looking forward to more. Haven't played since I was a little kid SF2. Hopefully you cover basics likes input shortcuts, fundamentals, footies, get up options, frame traps, buffering and what beats what. I used to think DP's were invulnerable anti-airs but I'm trading at times? I see a lot of people struggling on reddit with getting DP's instead of fireballs in a combo. So covering issues like that would be great. Personally, I started doing half circles to cancel the forward buffer so DP won't come out in a combo. Maybe there's a better way? So many newbies. Game is freakin fun. I'm playing Chun even though I suck at charge but she's fun. It's like you said, play who you like. Didn't like Juri in the beta but she was so freakin hilarious in world tour I tried her again and I'm actually liking her now.

I always go for throws and do this at leas 10 times in each set of rounds with Chun li. I don´t go with Zangief because everyone expects grapples and adjusts their gameplay to that. Manon´s momentum mechanic looks amazing for my playstyle and she seems unpredictable, not sure how she would deal with zoning. Ill give her a shot for sure.

Also you forget to mention that marisa has a weakness against lows as well do to gladius being able to be checked by lows easily and her having low movement speed.bshe also is the easiest character to perfect parry

I’m struggling very bad with Lily. I guess that’s the result of playing nothing but Laura for 78 thousand plus games for 4 years 🤷🏾‍♂️lol. It’s hard to get her wind stock off…You have to be creative in using DI and parry to get. Also, I find it strange that her MP isn’t in any of target combos (wtf Capcom🤦🏾‍♂️). Although the situation look grim for me right now, I like the challenge😉
