I don't know if it is only snakeyes, as it seems to be what capcom intended with all the damage buffs they gave gief, particularly for gauge damage. They seem to want him to smack around the opponent even if they defend, so think Snakeyes here is just capitalizing on those adjustments.

The Akuma player isn't that good. His reaction time is slow and doesn't have experience with the character, I saw multiple times he did not punish Sanguief when he jumped. It looked like he could not take action and instead overthink causing Snake to just continue without being punished.
