This is a play-through using Guile in the PS1 version of Street Fighter Alpha 3. Read on below for more information...
Guile is a hidden character in this version of the game. He is an unlockable playable character.
===== Additional Information =====
---- His 5th Stage opponent is Chun-Li; 9th Stage opponent is Charlie and 10th Stage boss is Final Bison.
---- He is not in the CPS2 Arcade version of the game.
---- The PS1 version of SFA3 is his debut in Alpha/Zero style graphics.
---- The game is known as Street Fighter Zero 3 in Japan.
===== About Guile =====
The famous staple military guy Street Fighter character.
In comparison to the other characters I think he has the fewest moves (Specials and Supers combined) in the game. Despite this, the moves are very effective and Guile players should be right at home with him.
===== About PS1 SFA3 =====
The PS1 version of SFA3 is a superb port considering the hardware limitations of the console. It actually has MORE characters and more content than the original Arcade version.
In comparison to SFA2, the animation for the larger characters (i.e. Zangief) and heavy animation characters (i.e. Gen) is much better this time round, and that's due to the hit sparks, block sparks, dust, etc. being rendered as 3D objects, which saves video memory for more character animation frames.
The extra features and modes, especially the World Tour mode, finds it's way to other console ports. Always remember that it originated from the PS1 version!

What a nostalgia... i remembered when i unlocked him in world tour mode on the psx and then i was surprised and stood surprised... i've never imagined before that he will come back to appear again in Street Fighter in this way... it was incredible and amazing and his graphics look like the best ever made... Greetings from Argentina to all...

I need a little help. I played all the stages in world tour mode but i can't level up past level 26, and it seems that replaying beaten stages won't give me any xp. any advice you could give me would be great.

So in all honesty, did anyone actually notice the "missing frames of animation" back in the day. I personally never noticed until some game review pointed it out about a decade after the PS1 was retired.

Its hard to notice at first but yeah that bothers me. The psp version doesn't have any missing frames but some sound affects were louder than they needed to be, that was the only downside. And believe it or not the GBA version doesn't have any missing frames of animation which is crazy cool, it only has missing sound affects and songs.

Same thing happens with other PS1 ports of arcade games, like Jojo's. It has very limited color palettes and less frames, probably to save space for new content.

Can you play in Arcade mode AGAINST T.hawk, Dee jay, Guile and Fei Long???? Can you do this when you unlock the hidden characters in the world tour mode????

Can anyone explain the A-ism and V-ism? and X-ism too. Have played sf4 and sfv

basically are like playstyles, A-ism is the "regular" one where damage and defense are standard and can use all supercombos avaible to the character, having 3 levels X-ism is the "Super Street Fighter II" playstyle, where you deal and recieve more damage, and you can only use ONE supercombo of the character V-ism is the "variable" or "custom" one, you deal and recieve less damage but instead of using supercombos, you can activate a "shadow" that copies your every move and can be used, if timed properly, to chain combos

A-ism is basically the most "normal" of the styles with 3 levels of super that you can use (you can use a level 1 up to three times and a level 2 or 3 once at full meter), X-ism is higher risk higher reward with you taking and dealing more damage with only one level of super (you can only use a specific super art!) And no AIR BLOCKING! Like SSF2T, and finally V-ism appeared in Alpha 2 as "custom combo" when activated ( lp. lk. Or mp. mk. OR hp. hk.) You get a purple version of your character behind you (depending on version the purple character will attack quickly or a bit after you attack) which is most commonly used for high level play (you also take less but deal less in V-ism!) But all super arts are GONE so its a pretty good trade off

Thanks so much 4 the detailed reply, V-ism looks fun. X ism is a nope for me my defense is shit. With V-ism I feel I wouldn't get bodied too fast haha.

And the V-ism is broken. The V-ism sadly detroyed this game.
