Sagat is 7'5" (226 cm) 216 lbs (98 kg) that's a lot of muscle, if you ask me, Jeff.

I love the rivalry between Sagat and Ryu. Bitter after SF1 but respectful from Alpha onwards, just 2 fighters pushing their skills to the limit

Sagat is cool... he lets Dan win for him to feel like he avenged his father and move on... realistically, Sagat could've kiIIed Dan.

But that's what can happen when you take the "Final Boss" bit away from a character, you can take a step back and develop that character properly instead of "Oh, this is the BIG BAD at the end of the game". I agree, there's a mutual respect now between Ryu and Sagat, and you even sort of see that in the Anime adaptations.

I have one guy at my Muay Thai gym who's around 6'6". He's gigantic. I can't imagine fighting someone Sagat's size. Just saying.

Then perhaps you'll never be a great fighter after all... Your pitiful pride will lead you to your own destruction... I'll show you your weakness!" Apparently, Sagat wants to fight Ryu fair and square, and he doesn't want someone like his former boss M. Bison to use Ryu as a puppet and that's one of the reasons why he left Shadaloo.

No wonder why Gouken (Ryu and Ken's master) doesn't want to train Dan. Sagat killed Dan's father, Go Hibiki because Go gouged Sagat's right eye when Sagat was once a member of Shadaloo

LoL....Gouken already trained Dan, but Gouken banish him because Dan still hold his grudge to Sagat and can easily possessed by Demon of satsui no hadou 😅
